Great video. My pole building goes up in 1 month. I'm looking for the best way to coat the new floors. I love the idea of the way you did the paint prior to the roller.

I hope you got your pole building up!

@@512kjt I did. Expoy shield has been holding up pretty well. Lifted in one little spot but I can't complain. Overall I'm very happy with it.

After all this time how has it held up? Any peeling up?
@512kjt2 жыл бұрын
No peeling up anywhere, at all. It has been extremely durable and resistant to any spill I’ve thrown at it. That includes gasoline, extended periods of trans fluid puddling up, brake fluid and grease and oil. Even lacquer thinner didn’t damage it, but I wiped that up right away. I would definitely do it again if I had another concrete floor shop.

Did you do the clear after the epoxy? THANKS for the feedback, building a 1500sq ft shop trying to decide between this & the rocksolid except that one is DOUBLE the cost.

Great video 👍🏼👍🏼. Floor looks great I just did mine last night and wish I had a squeegee 🤦🏻♂️. Also have a tiny change line and I think that’s a great idea to mix the big pouches together to give a perfect color throughout.

I really like that mixing method, very clever packaging.

Yes, I was apprehensive at first, but once I poured out that first pouch and just tossed it away I realized the easy cleanup! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

That shop is actually larger than 80 percent of all shops here in NYC

Wow! I bet the real estate in NYC is crazy expensive. I'm out here on what used to be cow pasture 25 years ago. Neighborhoods building up all around us. Thanks for stoppin by!

Puts a smile on my face KT. So happy for you to have such a wonderful shop. You deserve it brother.

Thank you, Jerry! Damn shame it took me this long and that ~10 years worth of child support didn't help either LOL. Hope all is well and things are starting to thaw out for you up there. I've got a half dozen or so places pinned on my Weatherbug app of people I follow on KZbin and Camrose is the farthest North and the coldest for sure! Take care brother!

Thanks Russ! I've got the video ready to be edited. Pulling my mom's Volvo up in there tonight. Have to change her alternator out, AGAIN, and it'll be nice being able to get to the inside of the wheel well without crawling around on the ground in my cramped little garage LOL. Damn voltage regulator went out on it, according to O'Reilly's, and it's got a lifetime warranty so back I go. Take care!!!

THanks for the video, very helpful. Did you have any experience needing to apply a second coat in areas because of bleed thru or not good enoug coverage. If so any advise?
@512kjt6 жыл бұрын
You are welcome!. I did not have to recoat, as my floor was floated out very smooth. If I'd had a rough or brushed surface, I would likely have put on at least two coats. Thanks for watchin!

Before your new floor gets deflowered, I would prepare & eat lunch off a bare spot just to be able to say you did so. A new floor is like brand new tires.

Haha!! I LOL'd at that one. I really should have! Too late now though, it's already been deflowered. Thanks for watchin!
