I live in Canada so I was curious to see what a Aldi store looked like. From all the crafts I have seen poeple post on Facebook, saying they got it at Aldi. I thought it was a craft store. I have been watching your videos for awhile , your little angel in the Boston hospital, is blessed to have you advacating for her. So precious .

It's always interesting how others shop living in other counties around the world. In NZ our groceries are so expensive. I mean a shopping cart not even piled high can be like $500 nz dollars. And thats no treats.

Those were better prices there than here in Virginia. You do $100.00 per person per month. At 3 meals a day x 30 days = 90 meals + 60 snacks ( 2/day). Do you realize how great you do? So proud of you!! I will continue to pray for that beautiful baby the Lord sent your family ♥

I love the Aldi, organic granola (coconut & Chia seeds and the flax and pumpkin seeds)...I scored big the other day at Aldi's and found a bunch of the grass fed ground beef for 50% off as well as pork tenderloins. My freezer is stocked now. I like to get there wild caught salmon as well. I only buy the organic apples because I like to eat the skin. I got 2 of the turkey's cause they had no antibiotics. Check out the protein bread at Aldi's. The slices are thinner and full of lots of good grains. I only eat one slice with my eggs in the morning.

I had to rewind when you said the Aldi total. I honestly thought it was going to be higher. No you are not weird as I also look for the longest dates on fresh produce (and best looking) or on anything that has a "Use by" date. I have 2 Aldi"s within an hour of my home but because I am bed bound and Aldi's doesn't have a delivery service, I use a different supermarket (1 hour away) but they do try and match Aldi's prices, have good weekly deals and a customer reward system. If I had the chance I would use Aldi. I could save so much money. Have a blessed day 🙏❤️❤❤🏴

Wow!!! I can't believe you got out of aldi for only that much money! That's insane!! Good job! Prices here in Washington State are through the roof. Costco just raised everything up by 5 or 6 dollars just about a week or two ago. We're really stocked up with food, though, luckily, I only have to spend around $70 to $75 per week for groceries. I think we'll be not going to Costco as often, LOL! Crazy! Today, I took all of my tomatoes out of the freezer that I grew, and, oh, joy, I get to work on those today, making tomato sauce. Then finally, finishing up my pumpkin puree, I measure it out into 15oz and put it into containers and just freeze it. Still have peppers in the greenhouse, and cabbages growing. It's weird, we haven't even got barely a frost yet, we usually get them around early Nov. or even sometimes late Oct. So I have a few things outside that are still going. Crazy.

I like to know whst i have and how many in my pantry at a glance. Most of my seripus pantries have been on more stalwart, gsrage shelves so often a fair amount of height. More than once ive had 12 of 3 or 4 same sized skus. For these ill use the store cardboard trays and stock 1 colmn of a single sku down through the stacked trays. Next can over is a different sku which i then line up through thecstsckmkf trays. What i end up are 3 or 4 trays all arranged tge same with that many facings each. Each sku is in its own colmn

@terryhenderson4246 күн бұрын
@@laura-leecarey5004 for example, i take a case tray and fill it with one row of cut green beans from front to back. Next to the green beans, I add a row of canned corn. Next to the corn I finish filling the tray with Grench cut green beans. The tray has a facing of cut green beans 4 deep, corn 4 deep, and zfrench cut green beans 4 deep. I fill 2 or 3 additional trays the same way. Then I stack the trsys so that all,the cut green beans line up vertically, all of the corn lines up vertically, and all the French cut green beans line up vertically. I do similarly with legumes, fruits, tomato products, etc...I have used the same scheme with coffee cans and canning jars of shelf stable product (flour, oats,sugsr, etc...). When I canned, I did similar with my home-canned goods using the original al canning jar boxes or replacements. And I went through a period of prepping recipie volumes of home made dry goods mixes and did the same with them.

I also love your videos, I wished I could figure out how to do hundred dollars a person for groceries. Even if I use Aldi‘s, there’s no way I can keep the bill down to $300 a month. ( we have 3 ppl home @ the monent )If anybody has any suggestions, I would truly appreciate them. Meanwhile, i’m still trying to reduce my grocery spending to meet $100/ person. Currently, I think it’s closer to $600/ month. Does that include non-grocery items like over-the-counter medication’s laundry soap, dish detergent that kind of thing?
@uffda7 күн бұрын
It is difficult, isn’t it. I make almost everything from scratch. I rarely buy processed food Plus I don’t buy things like Mayo or dressing and stick to basic spices. The condiments add up. Pork is cheaper than beef. Sausage can be added to pasta rather than beef. Dark meat is cheaper than white meat. Potatoes are a great side. Eggs can be used as a meal. Soups and stir fries are very budget friendly. We also drink mainly water rather than juice. I don’t buy packaged lettuce. I make my own salad but limit the add ons since they can be expensive. I shop online and so before I place my order I see what my total is and eliminate from my order what I can to bring the cost down. I don’t buy name brands unless they’re on sale. We don’t eat many deserts and when we do they are home made. Occasionally we have a treat. You asked, so I thought I’d tell you what we do. But inflation has driven everything up in price. I once brought my sister to a store I went to when we lived in another place to show her how I saved on food. She wouldn’t do what I did because it wasn’t name brand and was not processed. So there’s some adjustment. I do try to buy organic and non GMO if it’s something we use often or I alternate organic when I can.
@mommabear2many7 күн бұрын
For us it’s just food. I’m hoping to do some more with meals and menus soon. But yes it is challenging. 2 tips drink water and don’t by prepackaged foods. I know here I did have a couple because we are not home. Also add a couple days with soups is helpful as those are budget friendly.
@randimochamer62846 күн бұрын
Freeze A.L.L. Leftovers… every little, bit into a freezer bag to be made into soup that is free food. You can stretch that “ free food” leftovers with pasta or ( better) beans into a soup that is, what my mother called “free food” soup. Do this as often as you can and it stretches your bidget considerably! Whether once a week or once a month-it is “free.” 😎😎😎
