I made some wide leg pants from a simplicity pattern last week. They ate not very high waisted, but the pattern could be easily adjusted to make them high waisted :) they were a simplicity pattern

I made a very similar strappy sundress and the camisole top back in my teens, late '70's. Absolutely some of my favorites and I even still have them, although there's no way I can ever fit into those tiny sizes again! The sundress was blue floral and I made several of the camisole tops, one of them being white eyelet fabric! Fond memories!

It is Thursday and I am ready for the weekend. I am a history professor and a history teacher and it is Spring break next week. So in-between catching up on grading and reading proofs of essays and being nagged by my board 16yo son, I am going to knit an adorable tank top for my cousin for her birthday. Also I have the urge to pull my sewing machine and /or serger out of the closet and do some refashioning. Love you both. aw, love this! here in the uk we don't have joanns, so i kept pausing the video to salivate over all those patterns and all that fabric! also not going anywhere, no shops open, so it was nice to go shopping with you! I can only get my husband shopping if I promise food and beer (ie leave him in a pub). we nearly got divorced on our honeymoon at a night market in thailand when he tried to make me stop shopping. at a night market in thailand!!!! then we found a food stall and some beer and we were both happy.

Omg...that laced up 'corset 'top...my very first date with , (my husband_ of 'way too long '38 yr...we dated 1981)...I had alter a maxi dress pattern into a laced up corset top with a maxi skirt...use ribbon as the laces BUT wore a plaid, Pendleton wool men's shirt as my cover up/outer wear! Oh, so smart! I always need a chaperone when I go to Joann's so I don't break the bank. The clearance section is just plain dangerous! Rob is such a good sport. He did pick well, and I can't wait to see 'em finished! I am a little sad he's so against the long sleeve dress. I made myself a jumpsuit very similar to that dress my senior year in high school, and I felt so hawt in it. 💃🏼 Can I just say, I'm so glad 90's style is coming back again?!
