If you are self employed then of course it's expensive, but there are government subsidies for those people as well.

Hey guys! I work for an American health insurance company. You understood perfectly the deductibles etc…but my tip is to please read your Evidence of coverage before doing anything health treatment related. Every plan to every person (depending on premium you pay) has different prices for diff services you get. You might have a higher or lower price for going to see your PCP than someone else with the same plan. Deductible is also what you pay before the plan pays anything. You need to reach that for the plan to kick in. In your case…after you’ve spent 1500. Hope this helps!! Good luck on the new journey!! Loving this new life 😍

Try Wells Fargo to open an account, when I moved to Texas, they did so based on my visa number and I actually only just updated it (because I'm silly). You will be able to then open other accounts based on the WF letter that proves your address. I'm British and live in Texas too, about an hour away from you, and discovered your vlogs recently, so please do ask questions if you need.

exciting stuff the furniture looks amazing over there, like you said the pantry you will need to decide what your family wants to eat, once you get things sorted you will be able to stock up and shop around for the best prices and possible meal plan so you don't have to spend time in the Kitchen all the time. The US can be more expensive than the UK but you will get the hang of it. Love the Fridge freezer. all good stuff guys can not wait to see how you style up the house. love to all xxx

You can order British food from Goodwoods, and British Food Depot. Some supermarkets have international sections which might have UK stuff. Just make sure to look at the ingredients in cookies and stuff in mass produced US stuff because again the ingredients used in most things aren't good quality, lots of chemicals and things. Thrive Market is also a good place to find better quality snacks and things. Trader Joe's have better decent quality snacks as well, but as with everything always look at the ingredients. At Christmas time Target has a Marks & Spencer line come out too.

We rented for three years before we bought a house and remember how exciting it was to buy everything for the house. It’s is overhaul much cheaper to live in Texas than it is in any other state in the US, even if you live in cities like Dallas or Austin. Can’t wait to see the new home x

Just thought I’d comment because not a lot of people know but in the UK, everyone has their own Dr. Most of the time we see different Drs when we visit but if you ask your GP who your Dr is then they will tell you. You can then request to only see them. You can also see who your Dr is if you’ve had any letters sent to your GP. It will always be addressed to your specific Dr. Hope that helped x

I had my daughter in the US (21 years ago!). Yes, the hospital will charge you for absolutely everything...our bill was hefty after a 3-day stay following a C-section. But I had a much better hospital experience in the US than I've ever had in the UK. So excited for you all!! 💕
