So great to see you all on the shopcast! Maggie’s spinning looks so relaxing. I enjoyed hearing the rhythmic sound of her wheel. Rachel is the best. I’m learning so much about life on the Isles. It was especially fun to go with her on her airplane ride from Fair Isle to Shetland. And best wishes to you, Caitlin as you become a new mother again. Thank you, thank you for opening up a whole new knitting experience for me. Scotland, Shetland, woolly wool and TWT have become so special to me.

I loved so many parts of this episode...the spinning(wonderful), the cones of J&S( sooo tempting), and the Shetland footage(the stuff of my dreams). Can't believe it's the last episode of 2021...I saved it to watch after Christmas from my knitting corner as I happily finished a small basket of UFO'S before working on my next design. A podcast, as usual, absolutely packed with fabulous content and I loved every minute of it!! Rachel’s footage presented such a feeling of isolation without being isolating. Definitely a people who know how to live in the present, be in the moment, and are comfortable with themselves…..Not after the next shiny object or off to a ‘’big box store’. What a lesson in comparison for the rest of the world. The spinning segment was awesome. I found myself wondering if I’m too old to embark on yet another adventure. I’m not ruling it out! I did miss out on purchasing a cone but will pay close attention when they pop up again. The small project segments was very interesting and informative. I’m waiting for my order, which was shipped out in record time, while lamenting what else I should have included. Congratulations on such a ‘full’ year for the Woolly Thistle! It’s such a warm and real podcast. It is so appreciated! Wishing all a Happy Holiday Season of Very Good Health and Peace! Ann 🧶

I started out spinning with Romney and Coridale without any problems. After a couple years of spinning acquired a large amount of Merino. It was OMG.. I had no control over it..after a couple of hours of frustration called a master spinner..guess what...wasn't me but my friend loosened my tension to zero then laced the yarn back and forth on the hooks which put enough drag on the roving I could keep it under control thus spinning an acceptable yarn. I was pretty surprised to find Merino was so easy to spin. Spinning is a totally relaxing activity. After a stressful day of nursing in a critical care area would come home and spin. It would simply pull the stress away allowing me to have a restful night. Now retired finding spinning is a good sleeping pill..makes me sleepy after spinning for several hours. Maggie is such a beautiful spinner....and yarn sniffer (just watched you both sniffing the cones). Had to laugh as I catch myself sniffing as well..then look around to make sure no one saw me being weird...

The visit to Rachel’s croft and Shetland was was amazing. I would like to see a tutorial on the Lettlopi. The jumper Maggie is knitting in it is beautiful. TWT is a gem 💎 I love the woolly wool I’ve received and the woolly smell. Great ideas for using up single skeins.

Awesome shopcast to end the year, I enjoyed Rachel’s video especially the tour of the museum. Also, I’m waiting to open my deluxe box on Christmas Day! I can’t believe I haven’t opened it yet. A gift from my mom who is 91 and has Alzheimer’s. It will be opened on Christmas Day in the nursing home in her presence. Merry Christmas- love your podcast!

I recently found you and I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have the feeling of a knitting group again. I always learn something from a group of knitters and have really missed knitting banter. Thank you so much for making things feel a little more normal.

I used to save the shopcast to have on while I was knitting but now I find I want to pay attention so I don’t miss seeing anything. It’s my favorite part of Friday morning now and I miss you on the off Fridays.

I love the tshirt sweater behind you in the show. The opening scenes and music is catchy too. Just starting my fair isle knitting experience and look to learn lots from you both. I have started spinning too and loved seeing that content.Thank you both for the wonderful farm scenes.

I always look forward to Rachel’s videos. This one was especially wonderful. The flight was amazing. Just trying to image those who live on those islands and remote locations. I’m a Shetland series fan and now I must rewatch those episodes! The tour of the museum was lovely to see. All that Intricate patterns made by knitters long ago. The shops are fun to see as well. Imagine walking into a Jamison shop! Thank you Corrine and Maggy for your episodes which I look forward to seeing every few weeks. Merry Christmas to all your crew,

Since it is unlikely I will ever be able to make it to the Shetlands, I would like to give a shoutout to Rachel for the great video! Also, living in southern New Hampshire, it is so nice to have a shop with such a selection as TWT to be able to call my LYS.

Rachel really does give us an authentic look at her life there on the island. So remote with crazy weather most of the time. Thanks for honoring us with calling us your LYS! xxx

The camaraderie between you ladies is delightful, I feel like you're right here in the room with me. I especially enjoyed Maggie's spinning demo, makes me want to give it a try! Thanks so much for being so inspirational. Just love the shopcast! I look forward to these visits. I got spoiled with the extra episodes recently. Great convalescent watching and being inspired. Maggie, I have a Schacht Ladybug as well. In another episode you mentioned your spinning and your wheel, I took her out of the closet. and I’m getting her cleaned up and tuned up for my next spinning session. Thanks for brightening up my Friday!
