Hey Chris, nice video. Quick suggestion as an audio engineer - in this video there's a low humming sound probably coming from the mic or somewhere in the room. You can use a 'high pass filter' to remove the low humming sound. Just set it to about 60 or 80 Hz.

I been using woo-commerce and elementor for 2 years....what a nightmare. Things are constantly breaking. The website is slow. Takes forever to fulfill orders and print shipping labels. Constant errors. Moving to Shopify this week
@ChrisMarrano2 жыл бұрын
Years ago I was using the same thing. WooCommerce & Elementor. The shipping plugins are where we ran into the most issues. But yes, overall, it was bad. With the Shopify 2.0 themes, it was a no-brainer and haven't looked back. Good luck man! I'm starting a new series where I review/advise on subscribers websites & marketing. If you'd like a review once you make the switch, let me know!

@@ChrisMarrano forsure. I would love that! Thanks
@poppingjaz2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I found Elementor easy to design with but not the best for maintaining a Woocommerce store. You spend more time administrating the site than you want because updates can lead to site breakage. The block based plugins are much more stable but less design friendly

I'm used to wordpress/woocommerce and just switched to shopify. The only reason I did this is because it's designed for conversions and it's used by everyone, I was just wondering if you think it will make much of a difference conversion wise?
@ChrisMarrano2 жыл бұрын
So if you’re used to Wordpress & woocommerce, you know it’s really about product & design, so I couldn’t say better conversion rates, but in terms of functionality & seamless integrations & api’s, Shopify is the best, that’s why I choose it these days.

What are the Shopify add ons that are absolutely necessary to add? Because I have a Wordpress blog but I heard adding woocommerce will break the site with their updates. I can’t afford to worry constantly “will this be the update to break my site” so I’m considering Shopify.
@ChrisMarrano Жыл бұрын
Shopify will basically work right out of the box. I would recommend some apps, but if you're looking for a turnkey option, Shopify will provide that.

Dear Crhis, I have a question, when I go to switch to Shopify, do I have to pay first and then start building the site, or can I build it first and then pay when I plan to put site online? I hope you understand what I mean :D. Ty :D

You can start a trial, then pay

Hi Chris. Two questions: What about owning your data and exiting the platform at some point in the future and anticipating that Shopify will likely have price increases as time moves on, do you still recommend Shopify over WooCommerce? Great video, thanks,

I would say that would depend on the volume of sales you have. But overall, I still go shopify for everything

Which one can be set up on mobile? With premade templates for someone who doesn't know what they are doing? Also if your hosted on namecheap how does that work. They have a website builder there but not sure about the ecommerce part and how to add that

Doesn't Shopify charge 2% extra on all transactions?
@ChrisMarrano Жыл бұрын
Yes, but so does any other credit card processing company (PayPal, etc)
@AmirGTR Жыл бұрын
@@ChrisMarrano I know, that's not what I'm asking. Credit Card processing is usually about 3%. I'm asking if Shopify charges 2% ON TOP of that, making the total fees 5%. This is an extremely important question for my clients, because if you're making 100K/month that extra 2% adds $2000/month to your overall cost.

So, I can get a subscription with woocommerce and not have to buy one for shopify?

That is correct. Woocommerce is used with wordpress, which is free, while Shopify has the $29.99/mo fee

Is shopify better than wix e-commerce ?
