I fixed the description, so it now shows the correct location! Here's the link also: maps.app.goo.gl/wjK9VLdfCL4DqtCy6 The store is Gyomu Super Toyohashi (業務スーパー 豊橋店), located in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Thank you also for enjoying the video. I'm glad to share the joy of Gyomu Super with everyone! I'll try to go to places that most people don't go, but if there's a place you want to see, feel free to share! Thanks again for all the support!

Thank you for the video, my wife and I are from Australia and we love your content. It’s may seem simple to some people but it’s very interesting to see life in Japan compared to where I am from. Food looks great, to be honest the prices for groceries in Australia has increased dramatically. We have a young son and our weekly grocery bill averages $150 . Thank you again , keep up with the videos 👍

I very much enjoyed that trip to Gyomu Super, Thank you for bringing me along, It must have been a very long walk back home with all that heavy shopping, though! Hugs from Scotland xx

Such a nice day for a good walk. I hope it was not too hot! You have very beautiful neighborhood. I enjoyed the video of the market. It seems like great store to get whatever you need. Thank you for sharing!

Ah! I really appreciate the video inside the store! There are so many channels that show the streets of Japan. But almost no one shoots such videos inside stores or cafes. It is very interesting for me who is far away from Japan. The geotag on the map is also very useful.

The supermarket seems so far from where you live ! Here, in France, nobody or only a few people go buying walking, Everybody uses his own car ( so many cars too) I love so much your keicars, tiny but so useful ! Thank you from the south of France

We are 2 weeks away from getting on the plane and actually making it to Japan! I did a search and the closest Gyomu Super is in Shinjuku City which is a short train ride away from our lodging! We are also looking forward to eating at Hakuri-Tabai-Hanbey, which just looks really interesting, and also looks inexpensive!

shopping at the supermarket while exercising and burning calories...I think that's very good ❤
@francinecardoza67275 ай бұрын
The walk there is far for me but that would be a good exercise for me to do daily and maybe I would buy only a few items each day so not so much to carry back at one time. I’d probably get myself a good small wagon so I don’t stress my back and arms on my way home. If you make more video, can you maybe let us know what some items are if they are packages or bottles? Some items I recognize because we have it in Hawaii but I don’t read Japanese so I wasn’t sure what it was. I think I’m going to try and study simple Hiragana so maybe I can make some words out. 😅 Thank you for sharing and I hope you do more video!

The one that used to be near me when I lived in Japan had the worst bananas (and I won't even talk about their strange frozen ground beef it was awful.) The bananas *looked* fine, but tasted like vaguely banana flavored wallpaper paste. It was very strange. xD However, Gyomu was excellent to get certain staples at for cheap, so it's not all bad. :P

is this a mass-produced goods store that sells everything cheaply because others didn't want it or didn't sell it. In Germany there is also a store like this that sells mass-produced goods cheaply that others didn't want or didn't sell but are still usable
@LetsGoNihongo5 ай бұрын
This store is simply a discount store. They might have a limited selection, however you'll find a lot of the same essentials at a lower price! It was definitely surprising to me when discovering this!

When I buy something with short expiration date, I always select from the back to get the freshest possible. The one at the front sometimes only has one or two days left.

My husband went to the store to buy hamburger and was shocked it was 6.98 a pound. I said all meat is too high priced now. I said why do you think I told you not to try to shop. Better for your heart not to know what groceries cost now but maybe you now realize why I don't buy anything extra anymore.
@stixxinator4 ай бұрын
Should be titled, " me waliking 25 min before shopping at supermarket" also a better description of what items were and costs would have been good.

Oranges and bananas being individually wrapped in plastic is an insane waste. They literally have a natural peel for that very reason.
@straightpipediesel4 ай бұрын
One reason is Japanese notions of cleanliness but the other part is note they're all the same price: a machine is used to group them to within 2 percent of target weight and pack them. This minimizes labor of packing and at checkout.

Boring boring boring. Were you shopping or just hanging out in the store. Thinking slow cause some things you just stood there just standing not doing anything. Good grief boring.
@theeyesehaveit4 ай бұрын
The walk was boring…seemed like walker went around in circles. At the grocery…we were not told what the prices are converted to US dollars and not even what was the produce we were shown. Cannot read Japanese.
