Hi Jayla. I'm a Muslim myself and I Live in Dubai. I just want to point out that people here (especially Arab women) are very particular about their privacy so that bathroom scene could be an issue if that lady would see it. The bathroom is a very private place too, hence why she went in there to fix her scarf instead of just doing it outside. So, I would suggest moving forward, to be careful when editing your videos so it doesn't seem like you're invading anyones privacy. Have fun in Dubai.

I agree, As someone who lives in Dubai 6 months out of the year for several years now there were several things that made me cringe. I mean even in the restroom while filming her bathroom touch ups I could clearly see the women behind her fixing her shayla and abaya. It made me cringe. Like you said that can lead to serious LEGAL trouble. There are just some things, like others beliefs, customs and privacy that are far more important. I think it’s important no matter who you are or where you’re going you do your research on the culture you are going to immerse yourself in.

While I was in grad school I learned that you can dress anyway you'd like in the tourist areas but all they care about is you not acting loud and distributive. It is custom to dress modestly but you can do as you please (with regards). Also there are spots that have alcohol spots tourist areas.
