SHOPPING AT THE BUSIEST MARKET AT DAWN | HOW MUCH DOES FOOD COST IN GHANA | COST OF LIVING IN GHANA
I visited Ashaiman market in the Greater Accra region of Ghana to shop for food. This market was very busy even at dawn. They had very cheap food for sale despite the hustle and bustle. Its worth a visit especially if you want to buy food in bulk.
I share with you how much I spent on food items at this market in this video.

My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what its like to live in Ghana, from the Ghanaian food, to the Ghanaian culture, to the Ghanaian lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and help inspire to explore Ghana.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.

This reminds me of the market in Montego Bay, Jamaica. So beautiful and vibrant. And slightly of East Street Market in South East London in the 80's when it was much more popular. Really enjoying your content.

Wow. That's a lot of food for that price. Goat is now $9.99 (USD) per pound in the states (New Jersey) and a tube of yam is $12-$15 (USD). It cost so much to traditional meals here. I enjoyed the vlog. A job well done.

I love busy markets like these, they are fun to me. For $25 for all that vegetables and fruits is extremely cheap. If I bought those in US it probably be close to $100.00

Oh my goodness, I actually felt anxious watching the chaotic streets so full. It reminded me of my time in Lagos. I think I got PTSD from living there, because I am always on edge now, even many years later. The seasoning I buy from the African store in Canada is by the brand Onga (ginger, onion, garlic). It is so good. I wish I could buy a small bucket of it...but they only carry medium sachets.
