Have you heard of Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy? I think Lincoln may be a good candidate. It could potentially allow him to walk independently and be more comfortable. It could stop him from needing a wheelchair in later life. It’s a life changing operation, so I would definitely consider getting him assessed for this operation.

We have and I Actually talked to his physical medicine and rehab doc about it. She actually discourages it in Lincoln’s case. From what she saw in the baclofen pump trial, he has some underlying tone issues that would come to the surface with a rhizotomy 😕

Love your family. I love Luke he is so thoughtful lovable, very caring when he is a little older he get ready for all the girls knocking at your door. Adorable Lincoln is a kid you have to love. I love his dancing and he idolizes Scotty and I love that. There is so much more I could say about each and every one of you. You are such a loving and caring family. I would love to talk to Lincoln. I had a stroke and have a leg brace from the foot to my hip and one on my arm. I also use a special walker. I don’t like it like he doesn’t like to wear his AFO braces. I can’t walk without it. I would love to let him know what a difference it would make for him with the drop foot. I saw the vlog the where he was walking without the crutches. If he doesn’t like them because of what others think at first that was how I felt at first. I would tell him the benefits. They tried me with AFO brace first but my knee doesn’t know it’s supposed to how to stay straight when I stand or walk it keeps bending and I have drop foot so I wear a KAFO. It doesn’t matter what others think. If it’s uncomfortable he will get use to them pretty quick. I would be excited to see him walk without the crutches after seeing him walking back and forth without the crutches. I just would love to encourage him to give them a try for for a while and see what a difference they make. I love all and want to blessed Christmas. 🎄❤️

That would be awesome!!! I think it will come with time and maturity. He’s now in that phase of caring what others think so much because he just wants to be like everyone else so much. Eventually, he’ll get what we’re doing. I think the more he has positivity and encouragement in his life from people like you, he’ll get onto real quick!

House of Brown I felt that way at first, people still stare at me. My first outing in a wheelchair with the full leg brace and arm brace. I started telling myself that I’m special because god made me who I am. He has a plan for each of us and allowed special people to make products to take us from disabled to able bodied. Well mentally feel able to do things kind of like the braces are tools. Maybe tell him that. There are also companies that make cool designs. They AFO can be under pant legs. Mine can’t. I wish we could meet and talk about how I felt like he does but god made us special and god made people with skills to help us. Lol you wouldn’t have to buy shoes so often with the foot drop. I bet it would make him faster and dance more. I love all the Browns and eagerly look for your vlogs to post.
