Shopping for Bottom Heavy Body Type | Myntra.com

Recommendations if you are shopping for a Pear Body shape - example my measurements are 32-28-38... hence tops fit in XS or S and Lowers fit in M or sometimes even L.
1. JEANS
a. Skinny Jeans and Jeggings should be avoided as they will bring out the shape of the legs even more, Or pair with longer tops.
b. Prefer High rise and straight fits/ mom jeans/ girlfriend or bf fit jeans.
c. Avoid jeans that have embellishments at the thigh/ hip area or around as embellishments draw attention.
d. Since Bottoms are your concern area, highly recommend that you invest in good quality pieces. Compromises can be done in tops :)

2. TROUSERS
a. again prefer high rise or mid rise.
b. avoid pleats at waistband and vertical stripes on trousers give an illusion of height. Though they look like jailer pants lol.
c. Palazzo pants, Cullotes look trendy and will do full justice to the curves :)
d. Brands I prefer for pants: The Label Life, Marks & Spencer, AND India, Zara.

3. Skirts:
a. Flared long or calf-length skirts look bomb on this body type.
b. Mini Skirts only if they are 5 fingers above the knees and only high waisted!
c. Rest feel free to experiment with skirts just keep them high rise ;)
d. For Pencil Skirts please go for a size larger than usual and instead get it altered at the waist. This way it does not cling on the thighs.

4. Dresses:
a. Those with a defined waist should be your pick.
b. Fitted till the waist and flares below the hip.
c. Add waist belts to dresses to accentuate it even more.

4. For tops, experiment with corsets, off shoulders, ruffled sleevs..anything. This is your zone be experimental :)
VERY IMPORTANT:
Everything starts accepting with who we are. Styling comes into play once we are aware and accepting of ourselves. It takes time..be patient and confident :)

@@divyamishra9481 There are models who are hourglass purely by measurements but have a small bust. Eg. Audrey Hepburn is a hourglass, but her silhouette is not so obvious like Marilyn Monroe My shoulders and hips are equal, my bust being a bit smaller. So I am an hourglass too. This is why I dont rely on this body shape thing. I go for the Kibbe body type test which is far more accurate :)
