I highly recommend Xanthozoma Lima Zinger. This one gets huge lime green/yellow leaves. It does best in full sun and can reach 6-8 feet. It's a beauty that I have never seen on any KZbin garden channel.

We have been advocating for a dog park for our area for years. No luck because they say there is one within 30 minute drive (no traffic commute) which.... well... yeah... no! Love that dog park you are at! Its so nice and big ❤

Hi Jeff 👋 Loved this video! I love the orange primrose! That giant elephant ears leaf you showed WOW!! Years ago I had 1 that got massive leaves, but, not big as those. Unsure what one it was. Here zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast, they spred like 🤪 crazy. At my last house i could not get rid of them, digging digging digging and they still popped up. So I swore to my husband i would not get any more.... well... then i seen Waikiki and fell in love so i ordered one which showed up in a 1 inch pot with 1 tiny leaf. A 2nd leaf grew and the 1st died, now there is another.. 🤞🙏 I hope it grows well. I thought i loss my Shampoo Gingers during winter ( they were in a pot in an unheated liitle greenhouse) i took out the many rhizomes and checked them, no mush so i cleaned them up, peroxided them and planted in flower bed... 2 are peeking out 😁 i am so excited 😊 thank you for another awesome video! If you really want to go order crazy, try hostas from Beck’s in Indiana! One year I planted all unique hostas from them for a shaded side yard. They were just beautiful and years later, still growing even though we moved.

Hi Jeff! It's always fun going plant shopping with you, and a bonus of having Turbo, too! Is Toby getting too old for the dog park, or did he stay home because of the shopping, too? Hopefully the latter. I didn't realize you could get a pup cup at Starbucks. That's pretty neat. Turbo looked happy. I like where you planted the Limelight Prime Hydrangea standard. If you replace the ones in the pool pots, will you move them to that area, too? You found some pretty plants at the nursery. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of your pretties planted. I decided to be Jeff this year and added some annuals to a couple of the pots out front. I don't know why I never considered planting Purslane with the Desert Rose before but I am loving the way it is spreading across the pot and spilling over the edges. I am not sure the red and orange blooms are the best combination with the red blooming Adenium, but the color just caught my eye. The solid white would probably have looked better but that's a problem for another time.

Primrose is native in some areas, I've learned that with natives, less is definitely more! For example, I made sure one of my plantings got water about once a week for the first year, and they've been thriving since. Last year we had a drought but I didn't water unless something looked like it was suffering. Got tons of blooms on my fall blooming sunflower! Just something to keep in mind! :)

Primrose here in NC also gets eaten by Japanese beetles. 😅 So I haven't bought any myself but it does pop up in the yard from time to time.

I’ve been harvesting asparagus that we planted years ago and just kind of neglected. I’ve made my mind up that those beds are going to be getting excellent care in the future, I just have to find them all because some of them have self seeded . I LOVE asparagus, we use to have an asparagus farm near us but they plowed it all under and sold the land, now they’re growing houses 😢💐💚🙃 They just now grow blueberries and strawberries which is still a treat. 💐💚🙃

Try covering a section with a pot so ZERO light gets in. The asparagus turns white, and is super delicious and even more tender!

I think the rosemary is worth trying. My grandmother lives in Edwardsville, and had a rosemary for many many years. Finally, it just died (along with a decades old buddleia next to it)

I spray my plants with dish soapy spray for mealy bugs...leave it on for 10 mins rinse off in tub or sink...or outside..wait 10 mins after rinse off... because they will crawl back out...the babies are tiny white dots...then I repeat again with spray and rinse...check plant in 4 days....repeat if needed...keep checking.

I say Gladiola lol I love them I put in 200 one year, they are work but oh so stunning. The fancifillers sunburst / Lysimachia now that is interesting I wonder if you could keep it inside cause from the picture of it as overflowing baskets is dramatic.

I have three roses that I have to plant today which shouldn’t be too hard but I have to massively weed first. I’m TRYING to claim an area that I started a new garden in last year but the weeds grew like weeds, fast and furious. 💐💚🙃
