I’ve not been Cambodia or Vietnam but I HAVE BEEN TO LAOS! When you go to Luang Prabang there is a bear sanctuary for the Sun Bears at the kuang si waterfalls (I’m sure you’ll visit those waterfalls) - try to visit the sanctuary too!

It's a personal opinion because I like to travel like this and often travel alone. And this kind of journey is very tiring. But once it's over, everything is a wonderful memory.

Safe travels. You might consider looking for your camera bag (if you haven’t already found one) in Vietnam. Most higher tier manufacturers have their gear made in VN. You might find a few for sale there.

Exciting for your new travel plans! Can't wait to see it in your videos. If you go to Hoi An, look up 'Hidden Gems of Old Hoi An' on air b n b. I can not recommend it enough - we did the tour with Harry, and it was one of the best experiences we did on our trip to South East Asia. He was such an incredible host. that we booked him the next day for a private tour, where we followed him around the countryside on a scooter to see coffee being roasted, rice being harvested, rice paper (for the spring rolls) being made and so much more. It has definitely been etched into my forever memories those two days with Harry :)

Have a good and enjoy trip. If you want to see beautiful nature and relax asmosphere , you should visit Laos. Laos is famous for Thai people. Thai language and Laos are similar. We live outside of Hua Hin across from the weekend market. There is a young Thai couple there making fried chicken. We are from Tennessee USA and have lived in 8 other countries. No where in this solar system is there fried chicken THIS GOOD! There is also a lady there selling some wonderful cream filled donuts. Plus fresh fruits and vegetables. We would love to show you the market plus memory house and the other sites including Market Village Mall that has killer Thai food and more. Be careful out there kiddies.

Tip from a photographer, get a normal durable trekking backpack, and get camera inserts separately, you can easily convert it into the camera bag you need , and it costs less and is highly customizable

So fun to see you doing so well. Sounds like it is going to be a fantastic journey. Be careful in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap is fun with amazing surroundings. Vietnam OMG Vietnam. My very favorite place in SE Asia. Going back for the 6th time in Jan. Indeed the very best way to do it is on a bike. I would say fly into Ho Chi Minh spend a couple days then fly up to Da Nang - Hoi An (cheap flights) From there rent a small bike for each of you. Tigit is a good place to rent from. Then ride up to Hanoi stopping in Tam Coc -Ninh Binh area, then on to the Hai Jaing loop. This ride will absolutely blow your mind. And don't get me started on the food 😀😀

Actually, when you come back to Thailand. I recommend you visit Petchabun province where located in the middle of Thailand. Between North and North East. For Example, the place is Khao Kor, Phu Thap Boeak, Nam Nao National park, and so on. If you are not sure, you can just watch the video from Paddy Doyle vlog. Hope you are happy with my suggestions.

If you go to laos, just use the tuk tuk. Don't rent the motorbike. I am lao, btw...If you plan to buy something in Laos, it is OK to negotiate the price. If you are on a budget, there are plenty of good street foods at the night market near the mekong. Talat sao shopping mall also have good foods. Laos is very safe and most people are very nice.

You can go around in South east asia. But i've thought it is similary as you are travelled many countries in Eu. However, You can go to Japan, China, South Korea. Because Japan is more famouse for Thai and Chinese people then it's my recommendation.

The money going back to the camera really shows! Have you ever been to Bang Kachao in Bangkok? Highly recommend! It's an area where you can bike and eat good street food with a couple of cafes, and what I think is the best Mango Sticky Rice in Bangkok (Mother Suay - แม่สวยข้าวเหนียวมะม่วง)

You can use Thai baht in the whole three countries especially in Laos. Lao people are prefer Thai baht but when they give you some changes , they will give you in kip instead na ka. 😅😅😅😅 You need to use a very huge skill on counting and calculating to convert from kib to baht or baht to kib most of time. 😊😊😊😊😊 Just spare lots of small banknote of Thai baht in order that you dont have to keep changes in kib too much.
