Go shopping, ask for prices and point at the items you want. Do it all in Spanish without looking like a lost puppy. Learn these questions and sentences in Spanish and use your words!
When you need to ask for the price of items use the question: ¿Cuánto cuesta? This will be a general question you can use with any item no matter if it is singular or plural. If you want to be more specific about the item you need when you go shopping in Spanish, use demonstratives. These are just words like THIS, THAT, THOSE or THESE. In Spanish, they are ESTO, ESO, ESOS and ESTOS.

I have a question about the way to say the price. If instead of the verb 'costar,' we use 'ser,' then do we match it to the item or the price? I mean, do we say "La falda es 12 euros," o "la falda son 12 euros?"

Very helpful! I am trying to learn some basic phrases for my trip to Cozumel. Most of the words you pronounced I think I heard correctly but due to your accent (which is beautiful, not complaining!) I'm not sure I heard some correctly. I do not know how hard it would be to do but it would be helpful if you could put a phonetic spelling underneath the word to pronounce as well. Thanks!

me Angela renee Evans Eso, Esa mean That. Esto, Este, Esta mean this. Esos, Esas mean those. Estos, Estas mean these. Also, there is no Estes, plural este and esto become estos. :) 3 months later.
