I love Seiko. Grand Seiko is amazing. I don’t really like Rolex. Go to a Rolex dealer and find out how put off you can be. The polishing and perfection of a grand seiko is so much nicer. And there are attainable seikos that look and work great. I have a few new and several vintage seikos. They make me happy. The funny thing is, I started my watch journey by wanting to buy a Rolex but found them to be too pretentious and in some ways boring

it feels like I am on that path too! well, Rolex is really way way out of my budget and I feel like I cant spend that kind of amount. I'm vibing Tudor too but Grand Seiko hits different! not gonna lie 👌🏼 by the way, I am new to this hobby and lovin Seiko too!

I've warned you before, while you still have a chance, stay away from the watch hobby as it's a very deep rabbit hole to be in...LOL..Kidding aside, it's a fun, very personal and addicting hobby! GS is a IYKYK kind of watch. Typically, only watch enthusiasts know and appreciate the brand. Your regular man on the street will see it as 'just a Seiko' watch 😅 But trust me, GS is a brand you'd want to have in your collection. Thank me later 😂

Since you liked the your white dial seiko, try looking for the SBGA211 Snowflake. A classic! Credor are even on a higher tier than the GS watches. Both of them though I argue are very comparable in quality and technology to other luxury watches

Is it just me or price of Grand Seiko is not performing well compared to Rolex?

I assume that Rolex just so happened that it has its own league 👌🏼 but both are still timeless in my eyes

GS is performing about as well as any other watch brand. Some Rolex, Patek and Cartier models are the exceptions but most of their models depreciate very quickly too. Watches are not investment and value retention is uncommon. Beware of what some watch dealers disguised as enthusiasts tell you, it is a lie.
