I've been at Kappa bashi couple of years ago, and I bought kitchen knife and sharpening stone. I was able to select the one that I had in my mind and was able to get one for reasonable price. The food model is truly fantastic! You have to be there to actually see all the selection for the food samples. And they are so realistic, so the customer knows exactly what they are getting. I love to just walk around Ueno-Asakusa downtown neighborhood to look for really old house. Some house survived the WWII bombing and can tell the story.

I love old Japanese houses, they're so beautiful. Thank you for your comment ☺️✨
There is a shop in Kappabashi that repairs shoes, leather bags, and leather goods, and I once asked that shop to repair my wife's Chanel wallet. It was a beautiful repair to my wife's delight.✨😊

I saw your channel after a long time. Your videos aren't focused on learning English, but I realized again that these are actually perfect for that. Everyone can understand because you put subtitles. Also, the BGM is modest, and the talk is the main focus, so I can concentrate on listening. I'm sure it will improve my English skills. Thank you.
The origin of Kappa-Bridge was very interesting. I never knew until now. Tokyo is a very attractive and big city. But the food comes from other prefectures. Local areas support Tokyo, and life in Tokyo would not be possible without other prefectures. This is a long time ago. I would like travelers to know more about the charm of the countryside, not just big cities such as Tokyo. Even so, I love your British accent. For some reason, I don't like American accents. For example, the pronunciation of water. Japan was forced to adopt an American accent in English education in Japan due to the occupation of the US military after Japan's defeat in World War II. Originally, I was not good at English, but I came to like English when I encountered British English for the first time at university. I also like the British national anthem. Your videos help me study British English. I look forward to your future videos.

Kappa is a Japanese version of a goblin in the European folklores. It’s got a similar mischievous and malicious spirits that Japanese people have considered rather entertaining traditionally.
I have never been to Kappa-Bashi. But my town Tanushimaru Town in Fukuoka Prefecture is also famous for kappa, and you can see many kappa in the town^^

It is mythical that the theme in Kappabashi is about kappa. I heard about this Japanese yokai since little, in a shape of half turtle and half human, with a disc on its head.

They're so cute and funny looking 😻 Thank you for your comment ☺️✨
Hi, I'm enjoying your videos and am catching up. I liked this one about Kappabashi, and your mention of the Kappa statues, but I think some of your viewers may need a little more context on what Kappa are in myth and folklore. Here's a Wikipedia link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kappa_(folklore)
If I ever make it to Tokyo, I must avoid Kappabashi or it will bankrupt me... :P

As the Russo-Ukrainian war rages on, ordinary people enjoy traveling. I am happy that many foreign tourists are coming to Japan, but I have mixed feelings. When I think about the difficulties Ukrainians face, I have mixed feelings. May the war end as soon as possible.
