The herb used in Yomogimochi is mugwort=Artemisia vulgaris.

Good to see Skye finding lots of new things to eat in Japan.
My grandmom loved Yomogi Daifuku so much. When I visited her she often bought me some of it and we enjoyed chatting and eating them with green tea. Yomogi Daifuku reminds me of her memory.

That's a lovely memory. Thank you for your comment ☺️✨
Hi Skye! Thank you for fun video as always. I have never been to Sugamo, even though I live in Tokyo. Apparently, it’s nice place to walk and eat! But I can imagine myself gaining weight if I went to Sugamo😅😂
I'm sure that when you appears on the screen, any place will be a place where is so picturesque. That's like a scene of a movie.✨

I love yomogi-anpan that is a bread having anko inside and pastry mixed with yomogi: same herb with the ingredient of kusa-mochi. I don't think all bakeries sell it but when you find it, I recommend you to try it! If you toast it a little bit, the flavor would get better.

That sounds delicious! I will make it my mission to find it😸 Thank you for your comment ☺️✨
I don't think I had been to Sugamo in my past trips to Japan, but this is amazing. Even the other name "Harajuku for older women" sounds strange, everything it offers and sells are fascinating

Hi, I'm Japaneese. I wouldn't say "Harajuku for older women" is mistranslation, but I think "Harajuku for grandmas" would rather be more accurate.

It was a really nice way to spend the day. It's definitely more peaceful than other parts of Tokyo. Thank you for your comment ☺️✨
When I was 9th grade, I applied for Sugamo high school, but flunked... My English was really bad at that time. So I went to a public high school and moved to US when I was junior in high school. I was going to be an Engineer, so I did not study English that much back then, and when I moved to US, I struggled quit a bit. I am glad I moved to US and learned English. I still get to work at age of 61 because of my skill in English!
