Algonac boardwalk can be decent. As well as some parks north into marine city. Most of the river has fish in it right now. Throwing a few rods with night crawlers out on a 3 way swivel while casting a jig usually produces at least some kind of production for me.

You need me as a guest for comic relief! And maybe catch a couple fish.

Hey man I wonder can you still catch walleyes from shore in early June?
@nontypicalfishing3 жыл бұрын
Of course! I got a few the other day. Very few times of year where you can’t get at least a few from shore. The biggest factor today is going to be which section of the river you target. You would have better luck today in the more north stretch of river but as summer heats up fish will start to fill the whole river back up in numbers. But again thats to say you can’t catch them anywhere now.

@@nontypicalfishing Thank you so much for relying!! Would shore near Blue water Bridge be a good spot for jigging? I went to Windsor last week but couldn't caught any.
@nontypicalfishing3 жыл бұрын
@@koheikubota5114 I don’t personally fish near the bridge too often but I have heard people have been doing well over there. But I may go try my luck there soon. I tend to fish slightly lower because I prefer jig fishing from shore where current isn’t as powerful. Easier to feel bottom and control presentation.

Is there any public places around that area bro?
@nontypicalfishing4 жыл бұрын
Arron Howard right near there no. But plenty of spots all along river that produce just as well!

Jacob Czartoryski and two of us were fishing. So 6+6=12 so we left with 12 fish lol

Surprised you didnt catch any smallmouth. I fish up near algonac every year and slay the bass but i struggle to catch walleye from shore. Any tips bc im obviosly doing something wrong, lol.
@nontypicalfishing5 жыл бұрын
Ben Pearson being on right part of the river at the right time of year seems to be a big factor. Then just the presentation of the jig. Try to keep rod facing line and keep line tight so you can feel bottom. A longer more sensitive rod makes doing so a lot easier. I actually use a 9’6 okuma.
@benpearson84405 жыл бұрын
@@nontypicalfishing Ok cool. Im from Los Angeles so I never have any of my long rods (this year im only going to have a 7'6" bass rod and whatever crappy rods my family has up there) but hopefully I can get on them.

@@nontypicalfishing And im gonna try to make some videos while im up there on this channel. If i catch any walleye ill shout you out (even though your channel is bigger than mine, lol)
