Ray Fishing North Devon in December,

Fishing for Rays in December is great fun when everyone is looking to get a Cod on the beach, we would normally have a last session on the Small-eyed rays late October as the water temperature drops but over recent years we have been catching them right into January, but after watching the Bass man’s KZbin video about using the running patanoster a very similar rig we used a long time ago for bass and explained really well by Mr Larkin we decided to give it one last go for this year.

Enjoy fishing for small eye Ray's myself 🎣 totally enjoyed the video 💪 .not totally sold on the running pat for ray fishing much prefer it fixed but a nice simple rig and it does catch a rew fish makes a change from the pulley rig 💪 best of luck on you quest for a blonde ray

Thanks nick, I think the rig is designed for a plain weight but more so that the fish doesn’t feel the weight more just runs with the line, we just though give it a go more than anything, but onwards to blondes yay, thanks for watching and commenting we are glad you have enjoyed it 👍

Thanks Carl, yea was a good evenings fishing for a change rather than that Cod chasing we all do this time of year, we have never had a sizeable Blonde so going to try that next, thanks for watching and the great comment, tight lines 👍
