my uncle was a dispatch rider in the ww1 when this came to end he transphered to war graves comition transfering dead bodies from battlefield to cemeteryhe worked from 1918

to1946ish in ww2 he had to clean up the german attempted invasion this happened atAldbrough they were repelled by being set alight .our part in this battle was caused by pipes onn the sea bed the pipes had holes along the lenth whereupon the petrol and heavy oil was allowed to rise to the surface when those germanboys arrived over the pipes pumping startedignition was applied and germanboys became aputrid mess.My uncle said in all hisWGC work he had never see eney thing so bad ttfn&ty
