One of the best barbers I've ever seen. I really admire your job. Sincerely I don't use to order a Fade when I go to the barber shop because I let grow my hair for 2-3 months, but I like the Low Fade because my major career. Maybe in 3 months, when it becomes hotter in Northern Mexico I'll order a low skin fade with a Slick Back. Thanks for teaching and giving ideas for hairstyles. Gratings from Tijuana Mexico.

Dan's fringe work is exceptional. No stylist/barber that I've been to knows how to cut it like Dan. How can I tell them to do it this way lol?

It's a tough one because you're really looking at techniques here. That's hard to tell a barber what to do as barbers may have different techniques. What's the problem you find with your fringe? That would be a good place to start. Main problems with fringes are likely caused either by too much length off or textured (or "thinned out") too much
@ladabe49794 жыл бұрын
DITTO. Either they take too much off, or leave too much on while leaving it uneven and unblended. 7 barbers in the last 6 months. It's tough out here lol Btw I've shown pictures and communicated what I wanted in detail.

I love how he has a consoltation on the couch. I love this concept so it doesn't seem rushed but it let's the clients be honest in what they are looking for,
@RegalGentleman4 жыл бұрын
Yes we always try to have a consultation before the videos to give the client a chance to be honest and feel more comfortable. Just jumping straight into the video can be a bit daunting for some so we prefer to do the first part of it off camera

Love the haircut! I want to get something like this but I think my hair is too straight. I am trying to find my “look,” do you have any recommendations for hair styles with someone who has really thick straight hair? I have done the combover look but I want something more symmetrical.

@RegalGentleman4 жыл бұрын
The other guy!!!! It's Liam.. And that's me in case you didn't guess 😂 Honestly we just love the content that Dan is helping to create for our channel. Originally we started with us getting all of the haircuts but realised that wasn't showing all of the diversity of different hair types on offer.. And being honest there's only so many haircuts we could get. Then we started to visit different barbershops with other guys in the chair but we really lacked consistency there. And then we found Dan and have got consistent and grown our channel. It's kind of evolved from that. In terms of us, we've been heavily focused on running the business. The vlog wasn't really natural to us, but we're going to have a podcast coming very soon where we sit down and chat honestly about the business. So don't worry if you want to see more of Liam (or Josh) you can there 😉 And maybe we'll get in the chair soon too

Hi! I have a question. How should I make such haircut ( I mean on top)? I have a problem, becouse my hair is really soft and thick,and I can't make such style even with a help of gel or pomade.
@RegalGentleman4 жыл бұрын
Don't use gel or pomade. You want a very natural look to the hair. A clay or a paste would be much better for you. But the cut will make up 90% of the style, the product should just enhance it, so make sure to follow what's in the video and ask your barber for that

Why you never use the 0,5 guard for the blend?
@karagun55474 жыл бұрын
As much as I know it's all about his experience on using the hand like twisting it when he goes up with clipper. That way you wouldn't need the half numbers. In my opinion.

Why do you upload video to patreons just after some days after release on KZbin? I believe we should get full length video at the same time or even earlier?🙄
@RegalGentleman4 жыл бұрын
Hey! We're looking at ways to make this process a lot better. Patreon was originally created to see if people were even interested in the full length videos. But now we're looking to make this better for you. This video will be coming today. But going forward we'd like to have these out on a Friday or Saturday (or at the very latest a Sunday morning)

Was something a bit off with the audio? Kind of a fishbowl effect? I can just hear it using my headphones. Otherwise, a solid video as usual.
@RegalGentleman4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was definitely slightly off in this one when listening back! We filmed another one on the same day and was completely fine. But this will come with doing the videos completely raw and not in a studio setting. Sometimes it's background noise or a mic issue. We always aim to get better though and have some clear steps in place to continually improve the content (including a more private setting with Dan eventually). Thanks for the feedback!

Great skills and commentary as per, but I’d really like to see fewer skin fades, and instead those which last longer. The crispness of a fresh fade lasts such a short time that you barely get to enjoy them. Also, they seem so overdone in recent years and everyone and their grandmother has one it seems. Not a criticism of the channel or quality of content by any means, but more of the general trend. I’m in favour of seeing more classic short and medium length barnets.

A skin fade without guards, how is this possible? He just opens his 0 and then clipper over combs it

There’s something annoying about this guy despite liking him. Can’t put my finger on it. Um......got it! Not concise enough in his dialogue and there’s a tendency to be repetitive with his thought processes . I repeat, I like him a lot and he is clearly talented.

Love the videos, but you talk more then you cut, less talking plsssss
@RegalGentleman4 жыл бұрын
Haha, even though Dan does love to talk.. these are cut down from around 45-60 minutes worth of filming so there is plenty more cutting. The point of this particular series though is to educate so the talking is a vital part of the videos! We will have some exciting series/projects coming this year alongside this one that won't be as much about "education" so if this one doesn't end up being for you, there may be something there for you! Thanks for watching!
