I think using phones in modern day society is pretty much unavoidable. It’s more about self control, because there are sooo many distractions and it takes away from what’s happening around us :)

Kudos, you dare to touch on this subject. Babywise: YES, that happened to us, too. We were out in the city and waited for the train. My adorable, cute, smart baby made eye contact - at least tried to - with so many people. The majority stared into their devices like aliens. In one very absurd situation a bunch of young people stood in a circle and they all stared into their device, instead of looking and talking with each other. The question is: who benefits off of that addiction? Not you. What does it distract us from? Excellent video.

This is so true. we live in a strange time. I sometimes on purposely turn off my phone or leave it behind. But people seem to be annoyed with me when they try to text me and I don't reply within a few minutes or so (even though the conversation is non-critical...) People do not seem to have the patience or politeness as the time when we didn't have cell phones. It's like a drug or addiction. I'm glad you made this short-film.

did anyone notice how sam was distracted and was not in sync with the other dancers? if a part 2 was shown, you guys should perform a fake shen yun performance becuase it seems like i phone disconnect people socially and also teamwork wise. yes they distract you from string to achieve towards one goal.

i think that’s why the new york division of shen yun. showed us the modern day version of china and all of the actors were pretending to be civillians on their phones. next, the actors roeplaying the father and mother were in a miscommunication problem becuase the mom was on her phone which almost caused her to get in a car acident. then the commmunists arrive and arrest them and then more happened. remeber that scene this year?
