I'm a survivor of three suicide attempts, and all because of mental health problems! Not being able to hold down a job, being socially inadequate, being of no use to society, and some people verbally abusing and bullying you, because they don't understand mental illness!

I understand and what has helped me is putting my faith in Jesus who died for our sins so we could go to heaven when we die. He gives strength and purpose and unconditional love to who ever seeks Him. Take care 😉

This lady is brilliant I wish the original therapists I'd had were as compassionate and empathetic as her. I've since seen good people but i met them too late and I'm ashamed I wasted their time. It's so sad a discussion like this has little views yet music with lyrics about suicide from false people has millions.

I'm just tired of living and see no point or purpose of being here. Severe depression is being in this very very dark place alone and no-one understands or cares, everyone has the attitude of... get over it it can't be that bad.

I just wanted to take the time to say that family differences no matter what they are cause negativity and isolation as well as other things. God bless you all and please take the time to listen to those you love. I just lost someone I loved dearly.

I am considering ending it all in the near future, because being stuck in this situation for far too long is causing my severe depression to worsen as time goes on. Other autistic people are living in special needs accommodations and attending therapeutic education programmes, I am continuing to be restricted to this household. Every single day and every single year I keep saying I want out of this situation and then keep asking when I am going to get out of this situation and start getting the professional help I need, I don't want to end up going crazy to the point where I will end up later doing something horrific. All I ever want is to be in a residential mental health care facility after having already missed out on everything else in life, I will end up committing suicide before that happens.

Until mental health services purge their institutions of abusers, no one should utilize them. The amount of abuse done by some employees are astounding.

It's not always physical abuse. Twice when i have been hospitalised i've had to put up with being told i was taking up a bed someone else needed, as if i had gone in voluntarily. I didn't say when i needed extra support, because the nurses just didn't care. In the end i hid everything, just to get discharged

I'm 44 and I have suicidal thoughts every day, I've tried so many times to kill myself. I fill so empty and hollow inside of me. So many times when I dream I see myself committed suicide but I don't have a time and date.

People also use the words,,cry for help to lightly! My friend who took his own life told us for a while he didn't want to live anymore, and we never thought he'd go through with it but he did 😢 And the guilt I feel for all the times I told him to keep his chin up will stay with me till the end!

“suicide risk is associated with increasing frequency of GP consultations, particularly in the three months prior to suicide, with highest risk among patients who consulted with their GP more than twenty-four times in the final year. While approximately one-third of suicides may be in contact with mental health services during the 12-month period, mental illness was frequently unrecognised by GPs” It may be that roughly only 1/4 of these deaths by suicide were from those who’d be in contact with mental health services in that last 12 months as a result - not of them not needing the support, as they clearly did - but as a result of a lack of recognition of mental health concerns presenting in primary care settings.

its time we return to faith in God who created us for a purpose and because He created us, we must ask the creator for the purpose of life,right? Who else would know but the creator! Jesus died for our sins so that we have eternal life with God... God loves us THAT much, that He didnt want us to go to hell... its what we deserve because all liars, thieves, fornicators and blasphemeres go to hell because God is holy and cant let anyone go to heaven that sinned! But Jesus took sin upon to Him so that we can have forgiveness and a new heart if we choose so! Try it! Ask God for forgiveness, take Jesus on like a parachute! dont just believe the parachute would save your life jumping out of plane - put the parachute on! You will see, its a new life - a new birth!
