Such a great idea to alternate between curling and waving!! My hair is super thick so whenever I try getting loose waves, my hair goes out of control. This should help keep it from getting so big!

I am definitely trying this technique! I have never tried doing a wave with a straightener. Also, just a FYI for those that care - Loreal and Redken make a backcombing spray you spray on your roots on dry hair that is WONDERFUL! I have short hair and love volume but hate actually backcombing my hair as it is fine and frizzy - it is my go-to product and I have gotten a lot of people to start using it. I like it better than the powders as there is no residue.

Looks like a volumizing powder, you can get them pretty much anywhere. Just be sure not to put it on the roots, sprinkle it about an inch or two down the hair shaft.

do you know that you can dye your own hair with henna? step1 put henna on your hand and take a little bit and apply it anywhere you want step2 wait for it to dry step3 wash your hair with water and shampoo when it's dry, the color is going to be orange

Haha, I tried to do this, but my hair just doesn't want to be curled! I have extremely thick and straight hair, plus it's a bit shorter than this girls hair.. And my hair isn't as evenly layered as hers, so it's impossible to curl one hair layer at a time!
