Do you have two new vans? Also, is there a way to get better pricing for materials other than HD?
@ResidentialRepairs26 күн бұрын
@@HopiLivingintheCity Yes we keep two vehicles on the road that way we can separate but as far as pricing goes for other places they used to all offer contractor discounts if you show them your license but that's kind of gone away now. Hope that helps a little but I just go to home Depot now. I do use the pro discount card at home Depot which gets me small amounts of discounts and money back it's called the pro credit card it gets you discounts and at the end of the month you usually get something back to spend at home Depot.

Another crack job straightening out that mess and making it safe! Can you use plastic boxes in California?
@ResidentialRepairs26 күн бұрын
@@geraldalfano5581 Yes we have plastic boxes for outlets and switches but up in the attic we like to use metal thank you for watching and thank you for commenting Hope you have a great week.

In Oregon here at least we use metal in infrequent accessed places. Thoes may be the only metal boxes in the house but why? They are more durable especially if someone steps on them pry tugs. If you have ever dealt with thoes old 70s plastic boxes they get brittle over time too.
@ResidentialRepairs26 күн бұрын
@MattHmm-rq6dn most of the attic boxes are metal and most remodel boxes are plastic when it comes to attic space I do like the metal like you said you can kick them or tug him thank you for watching and commenting.

is it better they dont see it and step on your side mounted junction?
@ResidentialRepairs25 күн бұрын
@@nickk05281982 well on the side one's we use Simpson screws so they can definitely step on it and won't hurt a thing they can stand on it if they want but when I put them on top and then insulation gets covered over and somebody that is less experience starts going up there they could kick it or trip on it and end up going through the ceiling I've seen that happen didn't see it happen I heard it happened we had to do a drywall job one time and that was exactly what happened A plumber went up there and tripped on a box that was mounted on top but with the boxes we use and the Simpsons screws you can stand right on it and the lids that we put everything's a-okay thank you for watching and commenting we appreciate it.
