Can you show a step by step engine removal for the B8 4.2 one day? I seen you had a video of a black B8 S5 on another one of your videos but you guys fast forwarded the whole engine removal process. I know this S4 V8 is similar to the B8 but I see a few big differences. Anyways, great work as always guys

At 19:27 is shown the power steering pump shaft, does that leak can be fixed or the pump/shaft replaced without taking out the whole engine?

What a fantastic job! My boss would have said it should have taken me 20 minutes but then I live in Cornwall, so you're lucky if your car comes in and doesn't end up with a tractor gearbox welded to your car if you advize an issue with gear changes. You guys are definitely going to do well and I didn't have a problem with the sound at all, in fact I burnt my dinner because I was watching and listening to the tunes. Spot on VAG Technic ;)

cabin air filter is actually a piece of cake! Right on top, easy to get to! 5 minute job! I have a leaking oil O-ring on my oil cooler, though...$12 part. Can't even see it without taking the whole front off and removing the Alternator. ugh.

Great video. Just wondering on your thoughts on belt vs chain. With Audi the chains in the S and RS seem to be trouble sum. Is this the norm for large high power chain German engines IE BMW and Merc as well

The rs have updated timing components it’s not an issue with them. The s4s had plastic timing guides which were prone to fail after time, but easy fix when you do the rs4 guide replacement

One of very nice & educative clip ! Been thinking , after Audi started with timing chain , it will be fix and forget ! But as i see , craps are happening ! Hm , some support '' bridges '' are Alu some plastic . Beside , those chain slipping inserts are from bad material . Looks like those engines are made not to last for along time - to eat your money pretty often . Big shame to VAG ! Regards !

I'd love to own one of these cars, absolutely beautiful pieces of machinery. But What a nightmare to work on. I don't know how Audi techs used to make any money back when these things were under warranty. Hell, even at 30 hours that looks like it'd be difficult to make time as a flat rate tech.

The cost of this repair had to have cost 5 or 6 times what the trade in value is of the car. If this car was in the US I'm sure it would've been in the salvage yard.

In Europe the cost of the car is about 1:1 with the cost of this repair. Maybe a little bit less. If you can find one that with this already done, it will be worth the premium..
