Loved my rs6, bought mine for a track day with a few issues, 50p seal issue and water pipes, stripped it down it was a nightmare rotted pipes, took me 3 days to get it all sorted, but it was the best sounding car I've ever owed,

Hey man, you might just shortend my diagnosis. I just took a look at the vacuum solenoid and mine is not working. What are the issues caused by that problem? I have some missfireing, spontaneously, but I exclude the timing chain since it was renewed 17.000km ago.

Hi, we see a lot of broken engines on the channel ( all great content) including the ongoing issues with the Audi S4/RS4 2.9 V6 rocker arm problems. Also the later diesel V6 cam sprocket wear. How about a short video on those engine/ Audi models that you don’t tend to see so many issues with as part of a buyers guide though ? Which diesel / petrol models are perhaps more reliable, etc. thanks for your consideration.

This should be an interesting project, however I would have the original crank ground and straightened (if it was needed). I have never had problems with high quality bearings (king in your case) on a crank that is correctly ground. I would expect his to last quite well on the output you are considering. Interesting.

Unbelievable save for one of the coolest touring cars ever made! Have you ever used Carrillo in Irvine, California? Check them out. They supply rods and pistons to high HP builds in both racing applications and crazy all out builds like this. Shame about that crank!

The bolt on the 2nd turbo impeller looka abit out of shape - like it's had pieces cut away - (balancing?), is there a reason for this? cheers.

So many petrol heads would love such a fast car, could stretch to buy one - to say they owned one - but would struggle to fund proper maintenance & then they end up wrecking the car Sad waste Bring in the "mental build" 1000BHP

Wouldn't reject grinding and having crank straightened out of hand, but may well also need to have the block checked and caps skimmed plus linebored/honed??
@mickeymini95224 күн бұрын
Tomas, I guess we can come to conclusion that one or two things happened. The engine sized, after which the engine was stripped down by a plumber- from which it was realised that the engine is seized, after which the owner undertook the fraud action by claiming water damage. Could be that the owner had work down by a plumber which caused the engine to seize... At the end of the day if you are going to have a=n expensive car then accept the bills!

Nice video as always but I have a small thing to mention. Here in the English Channel, you have so many unfinished stories (which you have finished in the Slovakian channel) like the blue rs5 and the story with the machine shop that you had. We never learnt here what happened and well if some of us are lucky speaking at least one Slavic language then we know what happened but I just find it unfair. I think someone who asks support for projects (and by all means subscribers are happy to do so either by donation either with the views here) should start and finish the car stories he has. Except that rs5 there were more cars of that period that we never learnt the story till they left your garage.

You don’t understand. Nobody disputes your hard work and the fact that you are not a professional “streamer” but a professional mechanic/engineer. The thing is that the stories do exist in your other channel from start to end while in this some of them only on start. You can simply put the same videos just with English subtitles. Everybody understands you have limited time for KZbin.

You could sacrifice the torque convertor by sawing that off and then drill out the bolts holding it to the drive plate but that's a bit extreme.
