Quality! I've been fishing at my local lake no more than 10 metres out & up to 2 metres in. Had some decent fish, Bream up to 6lb & Tench 4- 6lb. Really enjoyed watching this post, cheers.

Recently fished a new carp lake. Boilies at distance, nothing. Short range 6ft from the bank on sweetcorn, 8lb and 13lb mirrors 4lb tench and 5 crucians. What an amazing session. Absolutely works and is often neglected!

Hi Stephen, cracking video again. Was just wondering if this would work on natural venues with silvers/ Bream as I don’t do carp fishing and mainly fish natural venues. How would you tweak this for silvers on natural venues. Cheers Mark

Liquidised bread on the feeder maggots on the hook
@AnglingDirectTV8 ай бұрын
Hi Mark, The method feeder is suited to commercial fishing, especially when targeting carp and F1's. You will catch bream on this method however, you may find switching to a traditional open end feeder with groundbait and maggots would work better. Regards, Steve.

@AnglingDirectTV8 ай бұрын
It's well worth a go this year. Preparing fishery pellets in the same way should be fine, they all use the same pellets these days. Iv'e not seen a venue ban liquids before so you should be fine. Regards, Steve.

what is the reason for putting the hook bait inside the feeder?
@AnglingDirectTVАй бұрын
This has 2 advantage... firstly it eliminates any chance of the rig tangling and secondly puts your hook bait in the centre of the free offerings. Regards, Steve.

What happens if you don't set the clutch? I lost all my rig when I hooked 3 fish. I had the feeder running up to a swivel that was tied with a blood knot. But lost the lost every time. I'm new to this and think it could have been th clutch?
@AnglingDirectTV5 ай бұрын
If you don't set the clutch you risk loosing the fish or breaking your line. When fish charge off at short range you need to give them some line to avoid breakages. I would say this was your issue the other day. Regards, Steve.
@ianbarnes14068 ай бұрын
Would you not use a bait runner with this method? If you do, and the drag is set very light, would your rod tip still swing round like that?
@AnglingDirectTV8 ай бұрын
A bait runner would be perfect if own one. You still get the crazy bites however, it's nice and quick to flick into freespool mode. Regards, Steve.

How to attach the putty so it doesn’t slide on the line ?
@AnglingDirectTV7 ай бұрын
You cant fully stop it sliding as the mainline is so thin however, by allowing the putty to slide slightly the rig remains safe. Regards, Steve.

feeder is realy not needed on this distance. just put sime lead on and feed it like pole anglers by hand or catapult

You could certainly do this with a lead arrangement as you mention, for me the feeder just draws fish directly to your hookbait faster. Regards, Steve.
@jamesadams-bosch80218 ай бұрын
Isent using putty above the feeder stopping it being a free running rig
@eddiewild72158 ай бұрын
Not really as the putty doesn’t grip onto the line and the weight of the feeder would just push it off if he broke off. You will notice that he has to keep repositioning it because it slides on the line.

A lake made out of crash barriers….. surely the most depressing, soul-less, dreadful and unimaginative fishing lake on the face of the planet (not to mention totally devoid of habitats, biodiversity and security/feeding options for the fish. Dreadful, absolutely dreadful😢
