Thank you very much. Very helpful. I just bought the Pfaff 1469 and had it adjusted. Getting to know the machine.
@douro204 жыл бұрын
This was Pfaff's first computerised machine, and one of the machines which really propelled Pfaff to the top of the market. One feature which really set it apart was the ability to completely customise the stitch programs, a feature that other manufacturers wouldn't catch up on for several years down the line.

Hello I was gifted with 1471 , everything looks good but Pressure bar lever is very loose and and it’s not going up and down. Machine was in storage for 20+ years.

Anytime a machine has been sitting that long, I highly recommend taking it to a repair shop for a good once over. They could also give advice on that loose lever.

At 1:46, when you program stitch 47, the tension displays 10 and the light comes on next to it. I didn't see you adjust the tension. I brought my old 1471 out of storage today and chose a stitch that said 16 for tension, but the tension wheel doesn't even go up that high. It seemed to sew the stitch without any problem. My question is, what is that light for?

@@sheriw.7009 Sheri, thanks for taking the time to respond. Pfaff is still in business, so I'll get in touch with them and see what's up with that light coming on when certain stitches are programmed.

I am rather desperate to get my Presser foot back on my Pfaff 1471. It is not lock3ed down and keeps breaking needles. How in the world do you get it flat, and on again? I recently had it worked on, but forgot to ask him how. It has always been a problem for me. This is tricky, I have been sewing for years, but have never had this problem with any other machine! Thank you so much for any assistance!! :o)
@sheriw.70094 жыл бұрын
You just set the presser foot under the shaft and drop the shaft down. It will snap in.

I would take it to a qualified Pfaff dealer for repair.

Hi, thanks for this great video. I was offered a sewing machine PFAFF 1471 in very good conditions. But it´s impossible to work all the stitches, specially the alphabets and the numbers won´t work. Is there a trick concerning the choice of yarn or needle? Or do you have any idea what I could try or change? I appreciate your answer very much and hope that you can help. Best regards, liza

Thank you! How many different presser feet do the decorative stitches require? I have the opportunity to buy one of these, but I want to be certain it has all the necessary feet since I will mostly be using it for the fancy stitches.

I had one of these machines but sadly it had an intermittent fault and cd not get it mended here in England. I gave it away to a sewing machine shop and cannot stop thinking about what a lovely machine it was when it was working😂I now have a 1473 cd and a Hobbymatic 801 which is a good combination of Pfaff innovation and the 801 is the everyday workhorse 🙂Hope the lady who bought yr 1471 is happy with her purchase. Thks for yr video too Stella
