Short Virginia Rabbit hunt with Beagles (How to skin a cottontail rabbit)

Short half a day hunt in Pittsylvania County, VA. Really thick cover on this farm, hard to get a shot but lots of good running for the dogs!

In this video I show the way that I clean a rabbit. Its not the only way to do it but I think it is the easiest, quickest, and cleanest way to do it. Learned this method from a hunting buddy and stuck with it!

When I was a kid in North Carolina I had rabbit boxes. I would catch them and sell them live to some people I knew. I never was much at skinning and eating rabbits. I was more into pan fish.

Actually this method gets all the meat off that you eat without all the mess getting it off. Both front legs, both back legs and the back were all harvested. Unless you are eating a rabbit rack of ribs you aren't missing anything XD
