God no. I can promise you that if this was an Apple product and they weren't sponsored to review this product they would be tearing it apart rightfully so. Who in their right mind would buy a 2 in 1 laptop where it's no good at either device it's trying to be, especially for that price. Get a good portable laptop and then get a tablet dedicated for those hands on events you need it for.

Do not and I repeat do not buy this laptop for school. Don't use your own money to buy this laptop, this is 100% meant for businesses (that usually get products for their entire company free of cost). The price does not justify its specs what's so ever. you'd be paying about 1.5-2x more than any other laptop with the same specs. The pros of this laptop do not justify its price what's so ever. I repeat do not spend your money on this laptop.

Latitude is Dell's business line of laptop while XPS is the premium/prosumer line of laptop. In business what matters is support contracts. Since Intel pumps way more CPUs out of fabs than AMD, Dell can stack up a lot of motherboards with intel CPU in inventory to comply with support contracts that can extent up to 10 years in some cases.

This has a worse CPU, Resolution, Uses IPS instead of Oled, storage Capacity, bad battery life AND cost more!? for what? able to turn the hinges all the way? for pen support? for a headphone jack? Really curious to see how well this stacks up to the latest Zenbook 14 Flip OLED, it's the same sort of laptop but with a really lovely looking OLED, a USB 3 port, headphone jack, HMDI out, a fully compatible stylus out of the box, and a processor that's on par with the Dell's, and a price of $1300. I'm sure it's lacking in other aspects to make up for the price difference (like no 32GB option as far as I can tell), but for this sort of device it feels incredibly solid. For people planning on buying, here are some caveats I encountered - 1. It is quite heavy though it is very rigid 2. Touchpad is simply horrible. Will register a click when you're just moving your mouse around which gets annoying. If you want to click and drag something by holding down the left click, it will unclick it midway when you move your finger. This doesn't change by changing the touch sensitivity 3. Keyboard: Hard to get used to due to lack of space between keys and keys themselves are sort of mushy. Not horrible but at around $2-2.5k, you'd expect better Maybe just the unit I tried but again - at that price, your quality control needs to be good. I think most people will be able to find better alternatives!

ayyyy they brought back the old keyboard from the haswel (4th gen intel) latitudes. Very awesome. The keyboards on those machines are my favorite ever, so it's nice to see them return. Too bad there's no trackpoint on this machine.

I've just got this notebook for my work purpose, as its only equipped with USB-C ports, to get around with a mouse, you can however opt for a bluetooth one instead, so you will not have any dongles dangling around. All in all, a great notebook to own, especially the latitude line from dell are the only lines they have with a new design and specs. If you are planning to go for gaming, the XPS and or the alienware options by them them will be a more suitable choice. As for the power supply, nowadays most companies are equipped with a secondary monitor that are USB C power delivery and display out capabilities that can be directly plug into any one of the USB C on the 9440 and have it charged, not even needing for a power brick (unless of course if you are not in this situation)

the video recorded using non studio microphones and that audio frequency range still conveyed with the latitude. i can feel the bass. by the way, i think gaming laptop should all comes in 16:10 screen ratio. because the verticality space is what gaming needed. i dont think many people even notice that. all this time people use multi monitor with view range only widen to the side, they are actually having semi tunnel vision. you know like seeing through a long rectangular hole where you dont get fair enough vertical span, while our pair of eye balls have big vertical view angle range.

I was looking to replace my old Precision 15 with a new device and I would have loved a 14" (which is my sweet spot), but the 14"s come with hardwired memory - which is a no buy for me - and there's no reason for this: the Precision 15" is the same height. Keyboard: I *HATE* the "chicklet" Apple-style keyboard with huge gaps between the keys and most PC manufacturers have been going in that direction for worse than 10 years. I would love to see more laptops moving away from this. Screen: I love that Dell is going back to 16-10 (such like good keyboards, ThinkPad pioneered, then abandoned).

I really like this laptop overall. At that price they seem to be competing with other business laptops very well, yet the price also pulls them into comparison with something like the Macbook Pro 14 (M1 or M2). The Mac is more of a creative machine but can manage business software and much more quite well, so even if you up the RAM and SSD (from the base $1999 price) you are looking at a similar price and the Macbook Pro 14 just kills this thing in efficiency, battery life, cooling and power draw, and it compares well in speed and in some cases would be faster. However, most PC laptops users will see the Mac as a creative arts machine and mostly look at other Windows business laptops. In that sense this Dell is really good, but 7.5 hours of battery life is rough. Between the 3 he showed here I would go with the Dragon Fly. I also agree with others that I would rather have an AMD version. For larger businesses the cost will not be a big issue, but for smaller businesses and others the cost here will be an issue.

Yeah a Macbook Pro 14 M1 can be had here in Europe for about 1950 euro, M2 Pro for 300-400 more, the 9440 starts at 2800€😮 (all incl VAT). Arguably a better screen, speakers and battery life. Equally good performance and keyboard. Better trackpad, but no touch. Never thought I would say a Mac would be a better value (or at least, fair), not even considering residual values.

Even though that looks like a great laptop overall, the power management windows and Dell does is absolute garbage. At that price you have to compete with MBP M2 Max that gives 12+ hours of battery life easily as well as giving the beans when needed. Glad to see the webcam and trackpad finally being improved. I tried 4 different XPS15's and they all had terrible battery life, poor webcam, and general getting super hot in my bag and crashing issues. Never going back to Dell again after that experience but good to see them trying to make the products better.

I have one of the XPS 13 2 in 1s from 2019, with a dual core CPU and no active cooling. I absolutely love the form factor, but if it tries to run a windows update it's useless for an hour until it's done. I love the 2 in 1 form factor, but I value the modularity and reparability of Frameworks laptops more. (Framework plz make a 2 in 1 chassis for the FW13!) This new Latitude is almost twice the price of my old XPS, that part is a bit unfortunate.
