People thinking that racing and winning is all about speed. You won because you made minimal mistakes and had a good track awareness. Thats equally as important as flat out speed. You did well, be proud. Dont diminish the win in any way, you earnt it!

Great run. Having fun is important to calmness. In my experience…when I get out in front, that is the hardest time for me. I feel more comfortable racing with others right next to me because I expect something to go “wrong”. When I’m by myself and winning I have to battle my own driving mistakes. It’s all on me at that point…no excuses. So then I find myself wanting to drive cautiously which slows you down. It’s hard to push yourself when you’re in the lead. That’s just me.

I always found that if I just put my head down and just drive the car and take each corner as it comes works best for me !! great video Jason !!

Really enjoyed the vid. Liked the format with the stop screens. It actually helped me understand not just why you were doing what you were doing but why the other drivers spun out. Very nice man!

Hello Jason You drove that car super well Your choice of trajectory was the right one, throttle and braking points were met accordingly to your speed. You did some good space/speed/car setup and track conditions evaluation correctly. Your ( airtime ) was proportional and under control. Your drivelines were fast enough to increase your time gap. I like your consistency. Now... I've seen / heard just one mistake from you throughout the whole race here. You said some drivers there were way faster then you. Well.. I've learned from Ryan Styles Harris and i'll never forget what he said once ( SLOW IS FASTER ). Point is, all the other "fast guys" were just trying to get to the very top by crushing that throttle and they all end up getting behind you. Keep up the GOOD CONTENT!! Love your WORK👌👌👌👍👍

Thanks for sharing, love the insight and seeing what goes on during club races. I've been out of it for the last couple of years, but your video makes me want to head back to SDRC, at least for some practice days with my outdated Tekno EBs. Side question, I never seen someone run a "air" style radio before on a track car, is that a new thing?

thats what they use to use back in the 80s before pistol grip radios. i use to own one of the first wheel futaba radios. it was a square box with a wheel and throttle was on the side.
