This is one of my favourite bottles I got this year. Have never had anything like it before either. But something about the peat and orange just works for me.

Thank you Jim for reviewing this intrigous whisky. This one is definitely of radar even for someone who live locally. Im know the brand but never tried any of their expression. Im not sure im go for full bottle, i think i visit distillery first and try some samples. Cheers 😁🥂🥂🥂🙋‍♂️

Wasn't sure what to make of this stuff when I first tried it, but now I love it. They released a special 66% abv version of this through the Stories & Sips Whiskey Club a while back and that stuff is intense.

A bit of a curve ball, you threw at us there, Jim. Interesting one with that orange liqueur slash cognac cask finish, quite fun to watch, even if I'll never get to taste it. It seems that Shortcross gin can be found on the Danish market, but not the whiskey. Thanks for sharing, cheers buddy 🥃

So glad to hear of a quality wee distillery back home. Co. Down is becoming a bit of a hotbed of whiskey production, eh? Gotta look this up when I get back. :)

Cheers Jim! Picked this one up on a whim (which isnt always a good idea) but man did it pay off this time! Really loved it, so different and straight into one of my top drams of the year.

Very well said Jim, "if your going to be different be widely different, if your going to be the same be better". Its great that you introduce whisk(e)ys that would not be on our radar. I love orange liquor so will definitely try this, I'm intrigued. Looks like shipping to Poland is not available on their online shop, but I will find a way.

Ah so glad to hear this positivity on short cross… I purchased the inaugural bottling at a bonkers 325£….. after 2 months the waiting on it I thought ‘what are you doing’ so cancelled it. Look forward to trying some of these older expressions now

Thanks for reviewing Jim. Haven't tried this one and tbh, with the type of casks used, I most likely will give this one a pass. (so much else to try that is more to my preference). Slàinte mhath
