Shortcut Acul/Nebaj Guatemala, off-road steep gravel pass with our Land Cruiser HZJ78 Camper 4WD

We took a short-cut between Acul and Nebaj in Central Guatemala and ended up driving a steep pass with narrow switchbacks and loose gravel. It was so much fun...:)

Hey dude, I just bought a HZJ78 in South Africa and I was wondering how the engine managed high altitude ? What was your altitude on this video ? Did you manage to have enough power regardless ? Putting a low pressure turbo strongly reduces the engine life and a 1HD-FTE swap is rather expensive...

A bombproof engine. Just had a 480,000km service done on my 1HZ powered HZJ75RV-MNQ. Original engine from new, still going strong, doesn't blow any blue smoke or anything. Fuel economy is between 11.1/12.5 L/100km Highway/City cycle. It doesn't go like a rocket, but will happily cruise on 5th Gear all day long at 110km/h without a sweat.
