The Arrows and related Silverliner IVs are also the oldest Canadian built passenger rail equipment in service in the states, and date even before Bombardier entered the U.S. market. They were built by Canadian Vickers and AVCO under Budd license, final assembly by GE in Erie.

In 2006, I visited the US and went to Princeton Junction and went for a ride on the Dinky! I thought it was novel, and didn’t appreciate it at the time for what it was.

I had a friend who went to Princeton. Whenever I visited her we rode the Dinky to PJ and then hopped on NJT to NYC. Good times!

A very coveted job on NJT for crews. Only the most senior ppl can hold those jobs and then for only several years before their retirement.

Mike, you’re in my area. I kayak the D & R Canal all the time and the Dinky is often seen passing overhead. Our Jersey gem indeed. Love your vids 👏🏻 thank you!

That’s an awesome idea! I want to explore Philly’s historic street cars that have recently gone back into service.

Replace it with a pneumatic tube, a zipline, or overhead gondolas.
