Both of Stuart's parents are now dead. Along with his evil nasty brother Darryl. Stuart now a doctor in America flew home for this special occasion for Chris Warner's 50th birthday and Shortland Street's 25th birthday anniversary. Guests characters included: 1. Marjorie Brasch(Elizabeth McRae). 2. Dr Stuart Neilson(Martin Henderson). 3. Nick Harrison(Karl Burnett) Waverley Harrison(Claire Chitham) 4. Lionel Skeggins(John Leigh). It turned out that Lionel was suffering from amnesia(memory loss). And if he'd stayed and received help, assistance and support to recovering why he has amnesia then Chris and the medical staff of Shortland Street hospital would help retrieve Lionel's loss of memories. Marj however passed away. Stuart knew this was going to happen with his mother. Marj wanted to die in a place so familiar to her and where she felt most comfortable in. The surrounding area she worked years as the receptionist for Dr Michael McKenna in the early 90s. Marjorie "Marj" died peacefully and quietly in the waiting area of the triage area of the Shortland Street hospital reception area knowing she's come home to die and Stuart knew this was where his mother wanted to die. She was home Stuart said of his mother's death. Shortland Street hospital was home for Marj. And she died right there in reception surrounded by her son the graduated from medical school doctor Stuart, her good old dear friends Chris Warner, Nick and Waverley Harrison and Kate Hannah. Kate was nearby when Marj passed away. But knowing this was where she wanted to be having Stuart and Chris by her side inside of the Shortland Street hospital building then so be it. Mason is dead. Sass Warner is safe with Hawks. This relationship however has ended though.

Marj Brasch returned to Shortland Street hospital so she can die where she was receptionist. In Triage and waiting area of Shortland Street hospital reception. Marj Brasch(Elizabeth McRae) passes away peacefully surrounded by her son Stuart Neilson(Martin Henderson) and Chris Warner(Michael Galvin) with Nick (Karl Burnett) and Waverly Harrison(Claire Chitham) at the reception desk. This being Elizabeth McRae's final last ever appearance on Shortland Street as Marj Brasch and Martin Henderson's last Shortland Street episode as Stuart Neilson.
