I have lived in northern NJ my whole life. IMO the best city is summit or maplewood. the conbo of beinc close to I78 and NJT is worth the high property tax if you work in NYC.

As a New Jersey resident, I have a brother who lives in Jersey City and if you want my advice watch where you go there cause your car’ll get broken into without any remorse, how do I know? My brother had his car broken into outside his apartment.

😂😂your brother obviously lives in ghetto side of Jersey City. Jersey City has it's run down areas but about 75% of Jersey City is full of renovated plush luxury condos and high-end restaurants. Sorry to hear that your brother lives in the rough side of Jersey City.

@@tristanelliander2223 Areas I suggest you avoid is Newark Camden and Paterson especially, but other than that, nice quiet places to live in would be areas like Bergen County or Somerset County obviously not fully ridden with crime but it's fairly low over there.

@@fox_light3142 I'm sorry you still live there. I'm over 70, spent my career teaching young adults in the region. I traveled the entire US. The Tri-State area from Wilmington Delaware to Philly to NYC to Camden, NJ is an absolute filthy, trashy hell hole with some of the nastiest people I've ever met and I'm a native New Yorker. Makes Tijuana and Haiti look clean.
