So glad I found this video. There are times that I see that my order was filled, but I have already lost quite a bit of money as I didn’t have a stop loss. HOWEVER, what happens during premarket and aftermarket hours as I don’t think any of this is valid, except possibly the limit order, allowing the purchase to go through, but I don’t think there’s any safety net with regard to the stoploss or the sell order. Am I correct?

So at the 2:10 Mark you mention putting into limit price lower so it'll buy if it drops to that, you can do that with just a straight-up limit Price right? Probably dumb question but just making sure. The normal trade page that comes up first. Thank you in advance for not flaming a newbie!

As a newbie my self what confuses me the most is the concept of setting a stop on a buy order that is below the current market price??? I can get that on a sell order but it seems counter intuitive to a newbie??? And, what is the difference between an open order and an active order

is the take profit line considered a resistance line? i see huge gains from certain plays bouncing above peoples set resistance lines so why sell at 10 with the opportunity of it reaching more

Is it possible to set a simultaneous "take profit" order AND a "stop-loss" order on a position that you have already established in Webull? Going further on my tangent, why aren't their more advanced order types for options? Only being able to place a "take profit" order before the position is potentially established, and not after it is established, seems silly.

I want to know what I did wrong today. I did everything like you said but I turned off the take profit because I thought that would give me the option to close the order whenever I reached my price and I left the stop loss on for 20%. I was up over 60% on my Tesla trade and it would not let me sell the contract to take profit. I had to watch all my profits go to the red and then my stop loss was triggered.

I'm a complete noob but I think you should have left the take profit option on and adjusted it when you saw it was maybe going above your take profit.

A stop market order would submit a market order which would fill immediately, but could potentially fill less than you were expecting. Adding a limit puts a minimum amount you’d be willing to sell for.

Yes! You just need to go to the orders tab, find the stop, click on it. Then edit the price you want to move it to
