@Life’s a Virus! I meant that if everything is as simple as you say, then it makes no sense for the side branch to serve as the main one. They would have left Konoha long ago. The side branch has been around for decades, as has the practice of putting the cursed seal. If it is so easy to run away, the author would not have focused on the fact of printing and, in general, the whole situation as a whole. But of course you can have your own opinion.
