K' is one my most favorite character in KOF, and I really like his cold and rude attitude along with his hidden caring side within him. He also does have a playful attitude too, as evident by his encounter scene with Chin in KOF 14, so you can say among the protagonists of KOF, he has at least some growth within him compare to the others.

Aditional things i noticed you didnt mention: K removes his glove at the end of 2000, signaling he has gained control over his flames not needing the special glove anymore, he wearing one seems more of a personal taste now that for practical uses. In the fight with Igniz hes the one giving the final blow using his secret super desperation move "Crimson Star Road" (a move he would use first at KOF 2002) Another nickname he has its "The second sun". At KOF 2002 (the unofficial manga) he fights rugal being also the one giving the final blow in tandem with Maxima, here its shown he actually feels remorse at what he has to do ( in KOF 2003 comic K explisitly states " i gave my best punch to my best friend", its also revelead he grows deep feelings for Kula (altought its not explicitly stated if this are feelings of "love" or just corncern for her safety") (as shes captured by Rugal and used as a source of power for his kaiser wave atack). K has two of the most badass moves on the entire rooster, the Chain Drive (full powered) and the Crimson Star Road. (this tough its a personal opinion)

I love crimson star road and how freaking obscure it is. In fact 2002 was amazing, but Maximum impact had the greatest example of Crimson Star Road (counter and all). But anything unofficial kinda remains unofficial. What we do know is he did defeat Mukai, and He fought Aldehied and won in the next tournament. It's just kinda hard to list some of the other facts you mentioned as "facts" if they stay in non-canon territory. But on a personal note, It's seriously nice for my favorite character to get some recognition and you sure as hell know your stuff.

K' did end up going on to fight Mukai, who then triggered an uncontrollable flame within K', a power that ends up surfacing as Hyper Chain Drive in XIII and XIV. @PiscesAustrinus so yeah he doesn't tear the glove because he gained control of it his fire, he still needed it and even then his power went out of his control in 2003. In XIII you can see him specifically put it on to fight too.

Jacky Bryant from Virtua Fighter has the closest moveset to JKD than the other clones. I don't see it either in K Dash, but if he does use JKD, it's his own way of JKD.

@@blackwyvern106 Exactly. A character doesn't have to be a Bruce homage to use JKD. And JKD doesn't always have to look like Bruce Lee's, since he never crystalized it into one style. K' and Jacky are breaths of fresh air in that regard. That being said, I can point out some Bruce Lee traits from K'. They're subtle but that's what makes them special. The beginning of his idle stance looks similar to Bruce's hand gestures in G.o.D. His normals are moves you see Bruce do frequently: finger jab, back fist, body-blow, low kicks, round kick, one inch punch. Though they have this rough unrefined twist to them to make them more K'-like. His shades are also a thing to consider, especially in KOF XIII since they look more like aviator sunglasses. Let's also not forget K's rebellious attitude and temper, things Bruce himself and his characters were famous for.

K' & maxima design were taken from An obscure game called daruku tenshi or fallen angels. Two characters named cool & harry ness. Tetsuo shima I mean chirico cuvie I mean k9999 was meant to be K's rival but due to lawsuits and Copyrights he was replaced with nameless for dream matches such as Kof 2002 um

It's kinda awkward to have so much intricate plot all compressed in a tournament fighter given so many parties involved who aren't the more iconic cast of SNK heroes. Can you imagine the NESTS saga retold in the form of a MetalGear style action/espionage game which stars the Ikari team beginning with their war with Rugal involving his criminal enterprises and trying to stop it while his '94 tournament is happening in the background, stopping to fight one of the OG teams in the ladder? If the new holders of the IP were bold enough (and had good programmers) they could pull this off and hopefully not land on its face like Midway tried to do in the MK universe with Special Forces, or that Tekken spinoff starring Nina Williams.

Ryo is a filler character in the KOF universe along with Terry and the other Art of Fighting/Fatal Fury characters. His backstory comes from the original timeline, but it's been slightly changed in the kof timeline. He's supposed to be much older than Terry, but in kof they're around the same age. One story angle that reoccurred since KOF2000 is that Takuma wants Ryo to wed with King so that they can have a kid to be an heir for kyokugen karate. King seems interested in Ryo, but Ryo is uncomfortable about it.

K' never really defeated Kula in a 1on1 fight. In KOF2000 they didn't get to finish their fight because Kula was ordered to stop it and turn her full attention towards destroying the Zero cannon. In KOF2001 they don't meet at the finals because the NESTS team was there to make sure K' team gets to the finals and face the "NESTS" (a white-bearded man with a sword sitting in the throne aka Igniz's father), so they basically took the other half of the bracket and let K' team pass. In pre- Igniz fight you can see Kula and Foxy staring into the sky, realizing that their mission is completed. After that K9999 stabs Foxy and declares that Kula, Foxy, and Diana are no longer needed and that NESTS ordered their execution. They attacked Kula 2 on 1 but failed to defeat her as she turned out to be stronger. Foxy couldn't believe what K9999 and Angel said, that the person that they deemed as a Father would order them to be killed, so she asked Diana and Kula to find out the truth before she died (yes, originally Foxy dies here, it gets retconned in 2003 though as she survived somehow). When they appeared at the NESTS base they saw K' team being defeated and K' struggling against Igniz while the "NESTS" was laying on the floor dead. Kula instantly rushed towards K's aid and together they overpowered the mighty Igniz. After his defeat, Igniz activated the self destruct mechanism of his base which engulfed it in flames. Kula used her ice powers to stop the fire and land the space station safely. She almost succeeded perfectly in this task but after a fight against K9999 and Angel and the fight against Igniz and now that she has to use her ice powers to the full extent she got completely exhausted, so she fainted and fell into the ocean after which K' jumped to her rescue. There is no official info as to who is more powerful K' or Kula, but at the end of KOF2001 K' himself says she is as powerful as he, kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3a6lJWDm7Vjq8U so I would just assume they are equals. Just like Kyo and Iori.

Well there is one more good thing K' has over Kyo, is that he can make peace with his enemies. He already made peace with the Ikari Warriors and Kula, and Kyo till today cannot in the life of him make peace with Iori. Kyo and Iori are just that incompatible to each other.

@@ShoryuGame some details can be found in NEO GEO freaks magazines from 2000's, but tbh most of it is just common sense. For example right after her fight against K' you can see her aboard the Zero cannon the next instant. If she would have got beaten by K' then how did she manage to do that? :D KOF 2001 wasn't made by SNK themselves so the story is a mess, but there are enough details to figure things out. It's obvious that Kula beats K9999 and Angel because you clearly see them committing to kill her and I doubt they just suddenly decided to let her go. At the very end you see Kula fall deep into the ocean, obviously exhausted...that and some hints from other team endings where they say "Who saved us?" "Idk but I think I saw someone fall into the ocean" (or smth like that) makes me think that Kula was the one who saved everyone. I mean she knows how to swim, not only she knows, but in KOF XIV she even says she loves swimming, so the lack of swimming skills wasn't the reason she was drowning :D

Take Kyo, put him Cool's clothes from Darakutenshi - Fallen Angel, reverse Kyo's colors (hair and skin), put to him messy hair (like in KOF XIV) and you have K' , a cool video which reminds me how much K' doesn't like KOF but likes to win considering the 3 times he won
