The biggest quandary the PGA has to tackle in speeding up the game, is that the easiest methods are non-starters: golf carts and use of technology. No one seems willing to sacrifice the charade of needing to show how fit a guy is by walking the course, and even Tiger does not want to pursue a waiver for the sake of bravado. If carts were mandatory it speeds things up and levels the playing field, for better or worse. The on-course spectators would suffer the most from now limiting their player interactions. Regarding technology: it's a double-standard that the players are using the latest clubs and balls tested to death to find an edge, yet speeding up the round by using a range-finder instead of your caddie flipping through their book is totally out of the question.

Shot clock can be tested with these pro am events or events going on while majors are playing. 90 seconds would be a good sweet spot to test.

I really think they need to use golf carts from tee to fairway. I’d let them walk up to the green but just that walk from tee to fairway saves 300 yards of walking, roughly 4200 yards, which is about 2 miles of walking. Right there that saves 30-40 minutes off a round.

You guys should create a curse word jar, where everytime someone curses that person has to.put in a dollar amount...then figure out something cool to donate it to once every couple of months or so....for example if you donated the money from all curses from the last quarter of 2024 I could afford a free trip to coeur d'alene

I hate the pitch clock in baseball- especially in playoffs. I need the build-up and anticipation. Seeing a guy sweat it out over a critical shot in a major is what makes it awesome. If there were to be a shot clock in golf, I just want it to be a time that speeds up the most egregious slow-players that affect everyone else’s pace, and not affect the majority of player’s routine

Glad the boys keep harping on the slow ass PGA rounds. Something needs to be done & it’s way over due. I like watching but cannot invest 5+ hours to watch even if it’s the final round. Very annoying tho when all the drama is over when I do try & catch the back 9. PGA needs to get with the times. Baseball has evolved, football has found the sweet spot, golf needs to catch up.
