Old school ska is awesome. Like, pre 2-tone, 1950's stuff. Baba Brooks, Prince Buster and The Ethopians are a good place to start. Also check the legendary Jackie Mittoo's solo stuff and his work with the Skatalites. Fun Fact: the 2-tone ska band, Madness, took their name from the Prince Buster track of the same name.

Sniping fun fact: If your shooting at extreme ranges (1 mile+) you also have to take the rotation of the earth into consideration because of the amount of time it takes for the bullet to travel to the target. I always found that interesting so I figured I'd throw it in the comments here.
