Shooting in Log is a game changer. You can think of it this way: It's not a codec, but log desaturates the colors and removes a lot of contrast, so that way you can bring it back in post. You can think of it as this: the camera gets a image from the sensor, and because the camera isn't storing all the data from the sensor (that would be huge files) it gets the basic colors it thinks you need, and puts that into the files. Log basically gets rid of the contrast so it can contain a lot more colors (hope this explains it better lol) Great to see you creating more content and focusing more on storytelling and editing! (also switch to davinci resolve because the color grading tools are a lot better lol)

Definitely. Though recording with HEVC coding helps keep the files smaller. With a 2TB setup though, I can record longer videos in LOG because those files are massive!
