A high quality modern Sturmgewehr that takes optics, ar-15 mags, and hk trigger packs with a very easy calibre conversion available in 8mm, 7.62x39, 5.56, and 300 blk in a full size, sbr, and pistol with your choice of a standard, side folding, or underfolding stock available for $1799.00 (compared to 5000+ repo prices,) and all you guys can think about is that woman's ass. I understand the gun probably got ya hot and bothered, but don't get distracted.

FreshP Gaming but all the paperwork, "safety gear" etc, will cost so much, that I might get a full auto original for not a whole lot more (relatively speaking), if I ask the right guys. I can actually get a full-auto AK in my neighbouring town for like 7-900€, no questions asked, and Noone will ever notice. If/when one day I'll move to a country with more reasonable gun-laws I'll certainly save up for one though.

I cant even put into words how excited I am about this! Being a huge history buff, I think the main reason Im so interested in firearms is because of their historical value. (Probably why I dont give a shit about most modern plastic wonders too) ive always wanted an original but the extreme price they go for is of course a deal breaker. I'm glad he avoided saying it was the first assault rifle. Nothing I dislike more than distorted history.
@NormanMatchem8 жыл бұрын
Very, very cool! Not looking forward to hearing about the price though, I dare say these are going to be high dollar firearms. I'm definitely a history buff, but considering the 7.62x39 is INFINITELY more available and only slightly more powerful, I'd probably just stick with that, unless I put the money down to get a high quality reloading setup instead of my little hand press. The difference between 7.62x39 and 7.92x33 is something like 123gr going 2350 ft/s and 125gr going 2250 ft/s, or something like that. 7.62x39 has a longer casing with a fatter base (which is why the mags are so curved), and 7.92x33 has a SLIGHTLY wider bullet, but all in all, shooting 7.62x39 shouldn't feel much different than shooting a 7.92x33. If I ever get one, it's only going to ever have irons, and it's not going to have any muzzle device. Other than the cartridge, I'd want to to remain as original as possible. I have to admit though, the thought of having a modern reproduction STG that's decked out with a fancy modern optic as well as a high quality compensator or silencer/suppressor? That's an awesome thought, very interesting mix between modern and WWII. Taking an original STG and replacing the rear sight for a rail and putting a silencer on it, though? That's very much a no-no. Now, a modern reproduction M1928 Thompson, with a silencer (it's naturally subsonic after all), and a red dot. I'll take irons over a red dot any day of the week, but it's a cool thought. I think Sons of Guns took an ORIGINAL M1928 and basically did that very thing, and that's disgusting, I think they even gave it a paint job. It's destroying a valuable piece of history that's meant to be cherished and cared for so that generations to come ban enjoy it. A reproduction, though? Be my guest. Whip out the paint, slap on the rails, get out the muzzle devices, foregrips, flashlights, lasers, adjustable stocks, ugly it up to your heart's content! The originals should be preserved as they are, reproductions is where we can be let loose. M1928 or M1A1 Thompson with foregrip/bipod combo, silencer, low magnification optic (maybe 2x), adjustable folding stock, Beta mag (if they ever become available in .45), flashlight, laser, side mounted irons for 50m or so, and a pretty little urban camo paintjob? Sounds ugly as sin, but it'd be damn cool to see, even if it'll probably weigh 15-18lb loaded. 100 rounds of 230gr ball .45 is about 5lb before you even CONSIDER a magazine... in comparison, 100 rounds of 150gr M80 Ball 7.62 Nato is about 5.5lb I figure, and 100 rounds of 115gr 9x19 is likely around 2.8lb or so. Subsonic 147gr? This is complete ballpark, not even an educated guess, I'm thinking around 3.5lb at least. Bullet weight is typically the heaviest part of a cartridge, so using a heavier bullet can change things up quite a bit.

American Tactical Imports ATI has been selling a version for a while now. It is chambered in .22 long rifle it runs about $500 dollars which will make it more of a fun plinker than a financial investment. A new local gun shop right around the corner is opening and has one on the wall that I am going to get. In terms of looks and weight they are very close to the original. I like the idea of the larger caliber for sure, but I don't have the extra $1300 dollars right now. Good shooting to you all and remember...Safety First!
@cherokid8 жыл бұрын
Eric, You guys are doing a great job. I remember you saying something about this rifle from these guys in Georgia. It was a great idea and they should sell quite a few of them. I for one would want one in the original chambering. I reload all my own calibers and think the 8mm kurz would be great fun to work up a load for this rifle. The brass probably would be a pain in the ass and expensive but once you got past that hurdle 8mm bullets and powder would be easy. I have one more week in California so I don't have to worry about the bullshit going on here.
