My personal experience with laser lights on firearms. You would take the firearm to the range, zero the laser in, dynamite, next time you go to the range, it is out and not just a bit, quite a bit. This was with grip laser, by crimsom trace, for a beretta 92fs, and a green laser NOT crimsom trace for my Ar 15, which very next time to the range, it is out by quite a bit. I zeroed the scope, and laser on the same day on the AR15 and still today the scope is still zeroed in, a year and a half later, but the green laser was out quite a bit on the very next trip to the range. Final result sold grips from beretta, took off laser from AR 15, what good are they if the very next time after zeroing them in, if they are out the very next time out to the range??

I wonder how far off rifle that device can be.

the rep said, 15-20 feet or so, line of sight. Tested it mounted at the top of the stairs in house, grab the grip and light up the whole room, plus distracts from a different direction. good thinking ;)
