What is the plate at the bottom of the rifle that holds the bipod and the tripod ball head? I can't find it on your website. I see that the tripod and the ballhead are by Really Right Stuff, but I am not finding the rail on your (mile high) or their website... Larry, do you know what the have for a bottom rail?

"Selling" something you have in hand and in stock to sell and exchange for cash on the spot in one transaction and "selling" something in a "pre-order" basis with a delivery date of "TBD" by taking a "deposit" and then actually completing the "sale" months or years later when "TBD" finally comes to pass are two different things. Just ask Elon Musk how many times "deposits" have equalled "sales" every time Tesla has done that "pre-order" crap. Usually "trade shows" are where "excess stock" of previous products is "wholesaled" out by "manufacturers" and "dealers" have nothing to do with it. Making "deals" on "new" so-called "limited edition" products at trade shows is usually "market research" and a scam to attract new "dealers" or "distributors" or lock down existing ones who "sell" product at a "public" trade show and advertise it and are then "stuck" doing business with the manufacturer until the last "sale" is completed with a delivery. Manufacturers like Remington and Ruger build "distributor exclusives" for their primary and/or most successful distributors all the time to "reward" them for doing business with them with "special" or "limited edition" products "collector" employees of major "retailers" who buy "direct" and "wholesale" and sell for "MSRP" or for "street price" on the "gray market" will have to pay a "premium" to get. When manufacturers start "bundling" basic products with "accessories" in a "kit" to make it impossible for anyone to put a dollar "value" on the basic proeuct and "centerpiece" of the "kit" and make it a "limited edition" and authorize "pre-orders", the manufacturer is going to "devalue" it's entire product line by coming out with that "centerpiece" as a bare-bones, stripped-down basic "package" marketed to "wholesale" customers in multi-unit "bundles" on a "Buy X, get Y free" basis so the "invoice" shows a major "discount" vs. the "trade show price" of the limited-edition "kit" at MSRP. And more often than not, the "chief" or sheriff if whatever "department" buys "bulk sniper rifles" or rather apends "taxpayer" money on them ends up buying "privately" the limited-edition "kit" for "MSRP" minus the per-rifle "discount" times the number of "bulk" rifles and being a "non-catalog" item and being "pre-ordered" the "MSRP" minus the discount(s) ends up dropping the "kit" to $1 or so. Of course the chief or sheriff can call it a "personal weapon" for "on-duty use" and deduct the MSRP of a single rifle PLUS the MSRP of the "accessories" in the "kit" and itemize it all and come up with some sky-high but "accurate" total "investment" for tax purposes and have a "collector's item" to sell sometime in the future "NIB" as well as proof he/she is a "good customer" for future transactions. And be "locked in" to future transactions by the fact that he/she took advantage of their office for personal gain and got a killer "discount" on a limited-edition "sniper rifle kit" that was "financed" by the "taxpayer" and the purchase of actual "issue" guns for the department. That's how Glock got and kept so many law enforcement "contracts". Get the "boss" to accept a "free gift" by building "demonstrators" and "personalize" them for the "department" and "transfer" them via FFL to the "boss" since all transfers must be to actual "people" and therefore it's impossible to transfer them back to a "corporation" or "company" like the manufacturer or distributor or a "DBA" FFL and even if they didn't cost the "taxpayers" a dime, it's sure hard to explain how the "department" came to possess them. Harder infact than if they were purchased for "MSRP". And "on paper", because transfer forms are not purchase agreements and the "FFL" has "no idea" what they cost the "taxpayers" and all manufacturers with big "police contracts" make their REAL profits selling "training" and "parts" and "accessories" and "service contracts" and "discounted" personal guns to "officers" and other department "personnel" who then turn around and use the "gun show loophole" to re-sell them to friends, relatives, pawnshops etc or "trade" them for other guns, accessories, etc; the manufacturer can "trade" new guns for old guns as long as there's a "model change" straight across through an FFL who could be the sheriff or chief himself/herself and that charges "x dollars" per transfer with "x dollars" coincidentally being the "value" of each used and "worthless" gun transferred to the FFL with "taxpayers" paying the "value" of the used, worthless guns to the "distributor" for the new guns with the FFL "donating" that transfer because he gets the "old worthless" guns free and clear and appears to have "donated" the "disposal" of the guns. Which if "marked" as department property get sold to "collectors" who are into that sort of thing amd who are "out of state" and also FFLs themselves. And "unmarked" guns (no department ever issues "marked" guns to all officers - they're for "VIPs" only) get sold "cheap" to anybody and everybody except department personnel who would have gave no need to buy "new" guns at a "discount" and being "taxpayers" themselves might take offense at the whole "scheme" and being law-enforcement officers might "investigate" the whole "scheme" and find or suspect it's "illegal" and get other "officials" involved. Of course "locked in" to so-called "contracts" are exactly what departments, distributors and manufacturers end up being whether it's still beneficial and "profitable" or not and police department and officers and distributors and manufacturers that "depend" on them ultimately are stuck with each other because nobody else wants to do "bulk" business with them and "police contracts" ultimately are not net positives when it comes to selling guns to private citizens and commercial manufacturers simply don't want or need to deal with one "customer" for dozens, hundreds of thousands of guns that ultimately are being purchased to be "issued" to people who would rather carry what they're "given" than what they're best equipped and most competent with but would have to "fight for" and purchase themselves. And as far as "sniper rifles" go, a manufacturer and distributor have to be pretty ignorant of modern law enforcment "lingo" not to know how stupid using that name for a "weapon system" is. Of course Accuracy International's "accuracy guarantee" and "imported" status and ridiculous prices make them about as likely to get "police contracts" from departments not hopelessly clueless and/or corrupt as they are to get U.S. military contracts.
