I've had pretty good luck out of Winchester over the years, the are by far my favorite turkey shell, once i killed a gobbler at 79 yard's with a 3" double x in 20ga, I was hooked

You realize they have been running lake city the last 4yr. with 2 wars going on, millions of new gun owners, requiring billions of rounds of ammunition? Hell they just bought Ammo Inc.! They're one of the biggest names from firearms to ammunition (even developing new cartridges to expand their market).. You and others might not care for their products, but there seems to be enough that certainly do.

What about, say, 155-165gr .270 Winchester? On the stability border of 1:10…with slight density and terminal advantages for game just above white tail? Also, although low-cost ammo, many of us have had iffy results with 9mm white box recently. Defective primers? Can QC be a little improved without too much cost?

Ya.. The last super expensive defensive ammo i got from Winchester had a flash hole missing in one of the rounds. It made a huge mess inside my brand new Beretta APX. And was the last defensive ammo from Winchester I will buy. Never in 50 years has that happened to me. Hundreds of thousands of rounds.

Before introducing a new cartridge why doesn’t Winchester amp up the production of 17WSM ammunition? Until they make it more available, I will not buy another Rifle by Winchester or any rifle chambered with a Winchester cartridge

I used to love Winchester ammunition but then they got dirty. Normally I like dirty things but I don’t like dirty ammo. Haven’t shot Winchester for probably at least 15 years. Does anyone know how it is nowadays?

Winchester is about as middle of the road in dependability and affordability as they get. A reliable choice. Some of their ammo runs clean, some of it dirty. What do you shoot mostly?
