Hey this must be a Season 2 episode....it must have had the Revue (studios) "animated filmstrips" tag at the end (not seen here). Any other Season 2 eps of S.S. here on KZbin? And, yup, the jazz music is definitely *different* for a western!

Well if Lucas McCain (the Rifleman) can use a semiautomatic weapon in 1880s New Mexico ; Shotgun Slade can have a jazzy tune. Take it with a grain of salt.

It was a lever action not S_auto....
@shawnmalone97113 жыл бұрын
@@davidbennett6912 It was a fictional TV show. The show glorified violence to settle disputes. Almost all gunslingers bushwhacked an opponent or shot them in the chest or belly. It was a painful, agonizing death.

@@JamesSmith-pc6bh I know, I read the Rifleman's website. You can tell I don't belong to the NRA. My knowledge of firearms is very poor.

With this music you'd think you're about to watch Burke's Law or Route 66.

I can understand some young upstart production designer wanting to break the background music mold for westerns but I don't think he/she could have made a worse choice. Something just non-descript or minimalistic would have worked infinitely better. I kept expecting the characters to hop in a '58 Corvette and zip off into the sunset.
