Terrific product from top to bottom. I finally took it out to Okeechobee with my son for the first time today and it is unbelievable how easy it is to use and how nice the video quality is...this will definitely help me improve - no question about it (and believe me I need the help). One suggestion - my son and I shared the same gun - it would be nice if there was a user-mode button that we could press so that we could easily tell which user took the shot.

Just got my shotkam and couple quick questions am I supposed to disconnect my iPhone from the shotkam before I shoot and when I go to download my videos to my iPhone it says error try again is that because I don’t have much signal without being connected to my house Wi-Fi ?

Just ordered mine today and I am so stoked for it to arrive. I have only been shooting 5-Stand for a few years overall just and now getting back into it after a "covid" break (and also less range time b/c my shooting buddy moved away 😞) But my scores are just terrible and about half of what they used to be and I have NO IDEA what I am doing - so I am really looking forward to seeing what the ShotKam shows along with an external cam for my mounting and gun movement. Wheres the tutorial on the pump shotgun? What if your hunting from a treestand? Do you have to manually turn the camera on before taking a shot??

How does this camera deal with being on a open over and under if your walking will it keep activating with the movement? Or does it need short sharp shock to activate. Many thanks

Yes, it needs a short sharp shock to activate. It will only activate with the upward acceleration of your break-action closing if you have it on the "Over-and-under" gun type setting. It will not activate when walking around. I hope this helps, thanks for your comment. - Emily

They teach us not to lift the barrels to the stock when closing the gun, but the stock to the barrels. So will that turn the Shotkam on?

Yes, the closing of the action will get the ShotKam ready to record video. Close the action, then shoot within 20 seconds if it's on the Clay Target setting. Thanks for watching!

Great question William! The ShotKam wakens with force to the gun such as the action closing or bumping the gun; it does not waken with motion. It will not wake up if you lift the barrel. How do you turn the camera off manually?

Thank you or your comment Jeremy. To turn the ShotKam OFF, please click the control button once quickly, then let go. You should see no LED lights once the ShotKam is powered off. Also, your ShotKam will automatically turn off if you do not bump the gun, close the action, or take a recoil for one hour. I hope this helps!

Thank you for your comment. No, the ShotKam no longer has a laser, I'm sorry about that. The laser was removed as it was not adjustable and caused confusion with the red dot reticle option. It was also banned in some countries, so it had to be removed. I hope this helps!
