我從國中就在美國讀書了，自身感受是有一部分人（尤其大多數叔叔輩的白人）真的有黃熱病，說白了就是神經病加某種程度的偏執吧。shoto的學生時期跟我的應該沒有差太遠，我學校跟shoto不一樣的地方是我們學校非常多華人，在亞裔少數的地方我也待過，說實話碰到這種人能躲多遠躲多遠，明明不熟還跟狂熱粉絲一樣黏著你真的很噁心（怕）美國歧視黃種人的情況已經很少了，很多大城市華人甚至多到你不會英文也能活下去，倒不如說是各種亞洲人互相歧視= = 仗著西方人分不清亞洲國家人的長相就把自己幹的傻逼事推說是其他國家的人幹的😅

honestly where i'm from in the states, people think every asian is chinese. so i guess asking is better than assuming, but maybe not as the first thing you say when meeting someone lol

I mean.. not every asians think that all white people are americans.. and we never ask anything like which white people are you? I feel like asking that kinda thing is not just mad uncomfortable but also racist

@@haosru no i'm not defending the behavior or trying to invalidate shoto's feelings regarding it. having a similar experience being korean and growing up in a mostly white community, i'd be approached by total strangers on a regular basis saying things about china, and i think a lot of asian americans have received the same treatment. personally, i'd rather be asked about my ethnicity rather than people make statements about it based on a guess... but i guess i was coping with the racism by suggesting one form of it is better than the other. which is sad, because nobody should have to deal with any level of racism in the first place

Oh god, I had a friend in high school like her. It was really frustrating being her friend because the second she got to talk to someone Asian, she would essentially go running.

If you want to approach someone and want to know where they came from,why not start asking their name first then ask where they from..And also "what kind of Asian are you?" is such a weird things to ask. That's a lack of vocab and so rude to ask to a a stranger...
